Testing testing it works. It works. I don't know what works and what doesn't work around here yet. But this nice nice work. Can you guys hear me? Okay and our new church welcome if you have not been here before Evansville Bible Church would like to welcome you and your Brave. Because there's I got multiple texts this morning and people are sick and we know all of that and we'll talk a little bit about it real quickly. But as long as you're well, I think and I'm well I'm going to be praising the Lord serving the lord listening to his word. My spiritual well-being in the side of my God is more important than my body but we want to be cautious and that's why I sent out of PPL yesterday and said, you're feverish. Achy. Whatever that is. Please stay home. And I think if we do that through this season where people are still going to get sick it's going to happen. But is it going to limited and we're going to continue to be the church because we are not to forsake the Gathering of the Saints and so so I'm glad that you're here with us will Lord willing be here every Sunday throughout the winter and fight through this thing to let you know first. I want to thank the Jost I don't know if you were here with Dan and Debbie this week. I can't keep up with them. They were are you guys did a fantastic just the whole process of servant leading helping and so many of you and those people who are not here who may be sick or not here for various reasons who helped. I thank my God for all of you. He's the one who empowers us gives us the energy to serve him and to do the work of the ministry and to get here in 4 days the way this church looks that's God working through his people. So thank you guys so much and Ernie sends his love and thanks. You didn't know Ernie has covered and I asked him. How you doing. And what did he say? Hang on he said In a Mennonite type way not too shabby. Okay, so and he's been writing and stuff. I think his fever's broke a little he's he's doing he's doing pretty well, but the couple other things so the infections it's happening will keep you informed of it or not hiding we know people get sick. We know it's hard. We know it's harder on the elderly or something that was some of our older folks will pray for them in a minute, but ninety-nine percent of people who are getting it, even though the infection rate goes up. I'm watching that data in Vanderburgh County. It's still 99% recovery 99.9% If you're younger, it's just any of your kids. They're just like not getting it there may be a couple exceptions but really not so so we'll continue to do this the

So is Ernie's not here? In God's wisdom. He inspired a couple of ladies. I don't know even know who you are to say. Maybe we shouldn't do Sunday school this week, which we're going to end up doing down in the fellowship hall starting next week. Let's have an open house. So people can look at the church of that's a good idea Week 1 What What In the Providence of God, we then called Blake Adams win, Ernie got sick. And so do you still have that Sunday school class? And it's the third in the series of six of cultural Marxism CRT in a really important topic in our day probably more deadly than covid-19.

Been released from us. So we wanted them to be able to continue to do and make plans to change in January. They'll take the afternoons will be here in the mornings the Sunday School classes. We're going to continue up through second grade and children's church. So if your child is 7 they have a place for Sunday school, and they have a place for children's church during the Worship Hour, and we are working right now and teachers. We have the room set of you toward you salt rooms with with placards or pieces of paper with the the grades, but we don't have people to teach and all those classes and we want the right people who can bring Godly biblical counsel to work are kids. So that's coming. We're working on all of that. If you'd like to help in a class. Let us know we'd love to talk to you.

Oh, yeah, that's that's all in my notes. So I want us to pray to our god the one who allowed us to be here. I would never have thought this a few months ago. And here we are and I know it's because of the hand of the Lord who has decided. This is where we would be on this Sunday. This is not an accident you're here on purpose because of god, so let's pray and then we'll start our service father. Thank you so much for this church. Mostly for the people because the people are the church Lord those who know Christ that come and serve you Lord Jesus. They are the church this building. Those lot Lord is a is a blessing it's something we want to care for. Thank you for all those that helped to get into this place where we could have worship today and and all those that will continue to help to to update and do the things we need to do for work of the ministry because work of the ministry to serve you. Glorify you far outweighs any building we will ever be in so we we thank you for it. But I really thank you for the people your people. These are your people father. I pray for those who are sick this morning for especially the elderly Ernie. Thank you that his fever has broke and he seems to be on the mend a Lord. He's in your hands your will be done. We thank you, but we ask that he come back soon continue to preach father for Tom Simpson and Bill back couple of the older gentleman with some underlying difficulties Lord. Thank you that you are preserving them as of now. They are home. They're not in the hospital. I pray that you would help them to recover and their wives so they can be back to Ministry. We love them. We want them here and for everybody who has been sick and thank you we give you praise for those who've already had covid-19 are well now that you have healed their bodies. We're going to trust you to this time and in this earth, And Lift Your Name on High in Jesus name. Amen. I'm at least as we going to start our worship together in preparation. We're going to read from Psalm 145. You can follow on the screen there. I will exalt you my God and King and bless your name Forever and Ever every day. I will bless you and praise your name forever and ever great is the Lord and greatly to be praised and his greatness is unsearchable.

Call home.

love that acapella stuff. That's nice listening to everybody praise our Lord together. We're going to do the Lord's Supper this morning. Partake. Do you all have one of these? Liberty is not there on the back table. And if you haven't used this before in a way of instruction be very careful. There is a film on top that you can just get your finger on it peels back. There's the wafer and then a little piece here that you pull back for the juice pull it halfway. Or pay the price. It's it can be dangerous but there are napkins if you spill so you can open them in anytime. You can wait a little bit if you'd like this morning I wanted to do the Lord's Supper around actually reading something from Charles Spurgeon anybody like Charles Spurgeon? I thought he had some at things to say around this and it's not everything. He said in this particular piece, but I thought it was really helpful and would help us. So I'm going to read through this and let's think about Jesus only which you'll hear 15 times as I read through this short piece. This was the last site that disciples had upon the mountain and it seems to me to have been the best. They saw Jesus only Jesus was often with his people. He was usually with his disciples, but they did not often notice him as Jesus only. They probably did. So in this case because he had been accompanied by two great and notable personages who all of a sudden with Drew themselves and then they saw no man anymore save Jesus only the disciples had seen their lord transfigured and attended by Moses and Elijah representatives of the law and the prophets suddenly Moses and Elijah vanish from their site and then they saw no man anymore save Jesus only beloved we shall never see Jesus only to the like till like the disciples. We have seen Moses and Elijah to never was there and I which saw Jesus only until it had first seen Moses. We must first pass under the rigors of Cyanide by and the tears of the law of God. We must first look upon the awful countenance of that Dredd lawgiver. Whose words are thunder and his speech is fire. We must be made to tremble beneath the denunciations of the Divine Law and stand abashed astonished anime wall the Thunders of the wrath of God roll over our heads. We must see Moses first or else we shall never see Jesus only we shall be trusting in our own self-righteousness putting something with Christ making it Christ and self and tell Moses comes in and Brake self righteousness in the Shivers and staying self with a fill-in Meyer of the streets. We must have the breaking down by Moses. The Smashing hand the terrible Strife that the law of God brings into the conscience or else we shall never know the sweetness of a line. Holy Upon Jesus and placing our confidence in him alone and Mark you beloved in another since we shall never see Jesus only till we understand something about the prophets. We must see Elijah. Or else we shall not see Jesus only there are some men who have not yet seen Elijah. They do not understand the prophecies. They think they perceive in the future a great progress of civilization and they expect to see the spread of the Gospel the expected here of great agencies in Floyd.

A multitude of ministers going forth to preach the word of God and of a gradual conversion of the world to the religion of Christ. But he who understands the profits and has seen Elijah believes not in the immediate conversion of the world nor and Universal peace. He believes in Jesus only he expects that Jesus will first come and they have the great hope of the future is the coming of the son of man. I know he says that God shall overturn and overturn and overturn until he shall come who's right it is to rain. I know that Empire shall toddler to their bases and that the world shall real to and fro interior an alarm until he shall appear whose name is Melchizedek the king of righteousness in the king of Peace who shall said his hand upon the flood in his Empire upon the rivers and shall reign from see even to see in from the river even to the ends of the Earth. We shall not see Jesus only as the world's great deliver as the Sinners one Redeemer as the Earth's bright Sun as well as her Morning Star until we have study the prophecies and seeing how they all speak concerning Jesus. Even have him who is yet to come we shall see Moses and Elijah first and when he when we have seen them there United testimony will lead us to see Jesus. And now beloved child of God. We are about to approach the Lord's table. I shall only under a few thoughts which may help you in your meditations there when we come to the communion table. We are the weirdest think of Jesus only we have no business with anything tonight, except Jesus only. We are to forget that we have a wife and children. That we have a house or a barn that we have feels or a shot. We are not to remember anything about these things but to say as far as we can far from my thoughts vein World be gone leave my religious hours alone. Gladly would my eyes my savior see I wait a visit Lord from the my heart grows warm with Holy Fire and Kindles with a pure desire come my dear Jesus from above and feed my soul with Heavenly love. By God's grace tonight. You have nothing to do with any other set of people under heaven. Remember that you are coming to the Lord's table simply as God's Saints. There are many religious controversies would shake the world, but you have nothing to do with them tonight or right now.

When you come to the Lord's table, you have nothing to do with her questions whether baptism is by immersion or by sprinkling and nothing to do with the question whether Church government should be Episcopal or Presbyterian. You have nothing to do with what anybody else in the world believes men, maybe are minions and you make them back their ears and other places but not here. You have nothing to think of tonight, except these two things and here it is you a sinner Love by a gracious savior. Try as you can to fix your thoughts on these facts. I was lost perishing and ruined through my own sins, but glory be to God the all-sufficient atonement of the Lord Jesus Christ has Set Me Free and made me an ear of Heaven o make Jesus only. the subject of your thought in your trust and at this table cast aside everything else and Come Just As You Are to him and then it will be a precious Lord supper to you indeed. We're going to take a minute or two the meditate and then will partake together.

Cuz we hopefully you were meditating on the Lord Jesus Christ is the one that we need to focus on the one we need to know in deeper ways, and we would all admit that. We don't we will serve him we say we love him and we do but we get distracted so often by so much so much and we need to see the Lord Jesus Christ as the one who's the highest in our life in a thority and we need to love him and we need to press our flesh to do that because our flesh does not want that spirit is willing, but the flesh often is weak. So Glad that we had that time to the meditate and think about Jesus only while they were eating the disciples at the Lord's Supper. Jesus took some bread and after a blessing he broke it gave it to the disciples and said take eat. This is my body.

And what are you taking a cup and giving thanks, he gave it to them saying drink from it. All of you for this is my blood of the Covenant which is poured out for many for forgiveness of sins. What strength

Lord Jesus you are our Lord and our King. We are your servants father continue to to cause us to look to you and Jesus causes to look to you for all of life for everything that we need and desire and Lord help us to have the right desires help us to to discern the right needs not the ones but the needs and to serve you to serve your people and to serve this community as we look at this new building and we look at these houses that are all across the streets and a university down the road Lord help us to reach out to these people to bring the gospel to your lack. Those who you have already put your stamp on Lord help us to be faithful to bring your gospel, whatever that means and whatever way that honors you. And help us to continue to come to the Lord's table to come to you knowing that all of the Power all of the authority that we have is only because it comes from you and it's your Authority in Jesus name. Amen.

Is it going to rain?

pleasure to have the honor of a screeching for the first time today and her new building. I do wish her knee was here so that you would have this privilege but I'm just going to pray to God uses this.

Those that haven't been falling with the sermon or maybe it's your first time visiting us. I'm Blake Adams on the members here teaching through a series and since Ernie was sick side to step in and teach our next session. And so before I even begin just the sermon series is entitled a Biblical examination of the cultural Marxist movement. I just want to remind you again for those that have already listened to the first few sessions first to And for those that don't know I just want to tell you about two things that I've been reminding the beginning of each of these first. There's a thesis to see if we're going to hold to or going to seek to prove by the end of this sermon that we've been carrying through every single session. It says this cultural Marxism and all of the ideologies that are associated with it. Whether it's critical race Theory critical theory intersectionality. They are both cancerous and incompatible with the Christian faith and message that's what we affirm at this church in the series is meant to show that the document it and so we can address it and the way we're going to prove this is the second point is very straightforward method. I've been doing it every sermon we're going to it's almost like examining a fake hundred-dollar bill. You have to know what the real is once, you know the real you hold up the fake the light you can see where the Bears are and so with this movement in the ideologies. All we're doing is we're going to study what does God's word say on a particular issue and went to look at what this movement is ideology saying and in the I have God's word. It'll it'll reveal its own are so I'm going to pray for a sermon for our time together and it will begin so Dear father come before you or we thank you for a great Providence your great mercy and Grace towards us Evansville bible church. Thank you for leading us God guiding us God with our people financially spiritual in every way you have been with your word declare to be you are Jehovah Jireh. You're the God who provides and Lord all this is come about because you're doing and your hands help us Lord help her knee and John and the body around us along with the elders goddess by your spirit lead us through your words help us to be faithful Godly Witnesses in this town help us stores at China Light and to be a salt to our neighbors around us and Lord. We thank you for writing this building right now. We can call her our own building. Got thank you. This comes from your hand and Lord. Is there a mini sick? I'm somewhat covid-19 just with other things going on. Pray to be with all those again specially the elderly who are more at risk pray to heal them to protect them and get them back to our fellowship restored Lord above all else at your will be done in all of our Lives the guys we take this time to examine the gospel pray that you give me strength prayer to give this all wisdom and ears to hear that God. You would use a sermon For Your Glory in Christ name. Amen. Miss practice timer. Sorry. if you correct so I have been blessed to have an open door for Ministry tour local jail here in Vanderburgh. And this is been able to I've been able to expose a lot of the men that come into our Vanderburgh County Jail for the gospel to God's word God's truth is lot of interactions lot of talkin all the conversations I've had with men down there and we've I've done a lot of scripture teaching answering questions. There's one question though. I've been asked on a variety of times in a variety of ways by these men. The question is if you could briefly how would you summarize the entire Bible? I want you to think about that question. What is the Bible all about you take Genesis to Revelations? What is it all about? How would you answer that? So the answer that I gave to his minks I've been asked this question. So I've had to think it through his power to give a short answer. It would be the Bible is the story about the glory of God to the Gospel of Jesus Christ from Genesis to revelation. We see God is working out his Sovereign will or what we call a sovereign decree things. He's predetermine he's going to do before time began. He's working all these things out to the praise of his own Glory. He does all things to glorify himself. And so one of the most primary way, which is glorified. And the thing you typically does you see throughout the scriptures is in the Old Testament. He's predicting the coming of a save the New Testament we learn and we see this savior. I want author put the like this the Old Testament is Jesus predicted. The gospels are Jesus revealed access Jesus preached the Epistles Jesus explained and the Revelation Jesus expected. You don't know what the Bible is all about. I think the main Forecastle Bible again is God's glory. But how is God's glory most scenes to the gospel Jesus Christ. So just again summary What's the Bible about God's glory? How is God most glorified the Bible the gospel Jesus? And so why do I bring this up this third third sermon, I've entitled sin and atonement and as we go through that price is just how it's in God's law and atonement. This sermon is going to be dealing specifically with the gospel. He said we've already done with different areas for this cultural Marxist movement it contradicts and comes in to Problems with Christian teaching and so tonight would have talked about how it how it impacts the most important thing about the scriptures the heart of it the gospel Jesus Christ. Where does this movement this ideology? How does it contradict it? So tell him to stand the gospel and understand how cultural Marxism comes in the contradiction with it. You need to have a working knowledge of three specific teachings. You want understand the gospel one that has stuff is not in line with it. You need to understand the doctrine of sin the doctrine of God's law and the doctrine of atonement that's going to be spending the night the first part and then at the end, I'll show you how this stuff contradicts and so I'll repeat that again. You need to know the doctrine of sin God's law and the atonement And so do understand that this is going to be able to use your knife and what it has been I'm only going to use one passage. We're going to walk through it. So if you want to turn your Bibles to Romans chapter 3 verses 9 through 26 Romans chapter 3 starting and verse 9 as you're turning there. I'm going to give you the contacts cuz we haven't started it chapter 1 verse 1. So I'm going to try to get you up to speed with the context. So pretty in Romans 3 of the context is Paul's writing to the Christians in Rome. There's Church churches up there and he first 15 Vs. Like most of the New Testament letters. There's the greeting he's greeting these Christians verse 16 is a transition now, he goes from greeting them, you know, just these kind of greeting messages and he says I'm not ashamed of the gospel for the power of God for salvation everyone who believes to the Jew first and also to the Greek fork in at the righteousness of God is revealed from Faith to Faith as it is written with righteous man shall live by faith. face Paul transitions to saying that I'm going I'm not ashamed of this gospel. This is what I want to come see you Romans so I can teach you more about this gospel and from her $16 and he starts going in to teach about the gospel what you need to understand if Paul wants to Clear Lake's playing the gospel. You must start with man sinfulness sew-in verse 17 vs. 18 chapter 1 verse 18 2 verse chapter 3 verse 20 Paul starts teaching about the doctrine of man's sin. That's three chapters worth of of man senseless. And you see the point is Paul Washer put it like this. I think Ernie used to be the last week or few weeks ago. The gospel innocence is like a diamond if you ever seen a diamond presented, they always put a black backdrop. And the reason why is it brings out all the sides of at the beauty of it comes to light when you see a diamond with this black backdrop and the same way. If you don't understand what the gospel as you want to see why the gospels beautiful and glorious you cannot begin to understand unless you see it the backdrop of man sin and the Rebellion our sin our Rebellion your sin. Do you want to see the beauty of God's gospel the gospel Jesus? You need to understand your sim only then can you see God's gospel. He's so again Paul verse chapter 118 after 3:20. He's preaching about man's sin and sell. We're going to start in chapter 3 verse 9 and how we're going to break down. This big portion is in three ways. The three things I said earlier, it's we're going to break down verses 9 through 18. We're going to learn about God about Sin. Verses 19 and 20 Miler. God's law and verse 21 in 26 lb about atonement. So having said that let's start with his first portion about Sin Marie verses 9 through 18.

What's in are we better than they not at all free of already charged that both Jews and Greeks are all under sin as it is written. There is none righteous. Not even one. There is none. You understand. There is none who seeks for God all have turned aside together. They have become useless. There is none who does good. There is not even one their throat is an open grave with their tongues. They keep on deceiving the poison of asps is under their lips whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness their feet are Swift to shed blood destruction and misery and their paths in the path of peace. They have not known there is no fear of God before their eyes.

So what Paul is doing in this portion? He simply bringing to completion 2 summary what he's already been teaching before in these last few chapters. He's been elaborated upon both Gentiles and Jews all the sinfulness of all men everywhere and he's simply just calling it. And so I think the one way you can summarize what this whole portion is about is that Paul is is final key point about Manson is that you need an understand. It is universal between it applies to all people every one of you sitting here at cint. And it's vile nature what's in really is not just that you did something. I kind of did something wrong. You know now it's you need to see it as a crime. You need to see it as a vicious rebel against God your maker. And so notice how he starts he starts verse 9 what then are we better than they what is he talking about? He's been answering some objections. He probably has received these and his own Ministry. And so the svx2 supplies the word Jews to help the reader understand it's so I think they're translation. Say what then are we Jews better than they and what Paul is talking about is He previously said how Jews had received oracle's from God did receive the Covenant sign of circumcision. God has revealed himself in a special way to the Jewish nation made into the other Gentiles. And so this objection is our are the Jews better than the Gentiles. What's Paul's answer? No, not at all and notice how he answers this though. He says we have already charged is that both Jews and Greeks are all understand what he's saying is everything I've said before this point if you study through Romans, I've already laid out the charge that all men are guilty. There is no one who isn't guilty before God all of us have sinned. And so Paulding quotes multiple passes the Old Testament psalms, Proverbs, Isaiah and Jeremiah in this world quotation list. And notice what the Old Testament teaches all men all of us sitting in here in our own State. We are unrighteous. We do not do good. We don't seek for God and we don't understand. That means we are sinners and Rebels before God. That's who we are as Fallen Sons and Daughters of Adam talks about first 12 all have turned aside together. They become useless. Another translation renders that worthless. What does that mean that we've become useless are worthless little point is we are made in God's image. We were made to reflect him and his character. But what do we do? We sin against God. We don't reflect his character. We break his law. And so we're useless for the purpose of glorifying God. We don't love him. We don't seek him. We don't even want to obey him. This is our Natural State. This is all men at Universal. That's not just some small thing. It's Rebellion. so someone might say to me like I don't think I'm that file. I'm not a rapist. I'm not a murderer. I'm not in that jail. You go visit. Yeah, I work hard. I have I paid my dues. I come to church every week. I'm just going to Paul answer you Romans 2:1 out the car and I'm going to read it says therefore you have no excuse every one of you who passes judgement for an that what you judge another you condemn yourself for you to judge practice the same things. Pause point if you look at someone inside while I'm not a murderer, I'm not a rapist. I'm not vile I came I don't do the things they do you have just condemned yourself for condemning them cuz you've done the same thing. Maybe that's the same degree. If you haven't actually murdered someone but Jesus says you hate someone in your heart. You've already done in your heart haven't committed adultery. If you lost after someone could you have done the same thing and you knowing that that's wrong and you doing it you just more accountable to God than them. Do not see this is this is our state. God is a perfect judge. He's just he determine something is wrong. And if you know, it's wrong and you still do it only hold you more accountable to people you think are worse off than you those nasty people in the jail. This is the devastating results the dentist and reality of sim. We're all guilty. God is a hole in a just judge Paul Washer and says it's a lot. If God was some kind of impartial or bad judge. We wouldn't have to be that worried. The problem is he's good if you have broken God's off. I have broken it. I've done what he thinks is evil. How can I be made right before she actually is going to punish me for my sin. What can I do? So one of the quote I think voddie baucham system in lines of think of it like this when Jesus the holy perfect Son of God took on sin one time when he took on sin his father crushed him. Do you think he's going to let you slide? Jesus being perfect takes in God crushes him May being imperfect ice. And what do you think he's going to do to me or you citizen just some trivial thing some light matter. It's a universal reality and its file its disturbing. This what makes the statement of person I noticed he says we've already charged up both Jews and Greeks are all under sin. This is the devastating part about Sin. All of us here, especially if you do not know Christ right now. You understand power and its guilt you live after your own sinful desires your slave to it. As Jesus said John 8:34 truly truly. I say to you everyone who commits a sin is the slave of sin. Finholms you and dominate you and also it's guilt it's guilt and what it deserves owns you as well. so last I just want you to notice. Look how vile as soon as he he Cold Soil Test in pastures, but the kind of these images are kind of give you pictures of trying to show you the disgusted to stain you shall force in their throat is an open grave. It's actually kind of picturing that you know, UCF Cemetery was Grey's line. What's inside you that comes out of your mouth? It's just death by your full of bitterness and cursing are we not grumblers? Is it so much more easier to Grumble and be upset and is be content and happy why is it cuz we are sinners. Always turn the side effects of the poison of asps is under the lips at this kind of snake. I believe in the point is it you're seeing a picture of a man with kind of a snake mouth. The point is just like a snake's bite and devour so we attack others with our mouths. The way of Peace, we don't know if there's no fear of God before her eyes. This is our Natural State and I hope for the purposes sermon. Bear with me. I hope it's uncomfortable. If you don't know Christ, I truly do because it'll be glorious at the end. I promise you. We're not going to stay here. What's move on to the next section versus 1920s is universal. It's a totally vile Paul then Transitions and Amber Alert about God's law. What is God's law 3 versus 1920 does now we will all says it's all so that every mouth baby clothes and all the world may become accountable to God because by The Works of the law, no flesh will be justified in his sight for through. The law comes the knowledge of sin. It's next portion pause explaining the purpose of God's law. Think about this question. What makes something a sin or what makes a sin think of murder. What makes murder a sin what makes it wrong? Think about that. What determines something is good or bad? Dancers God's law is old catechism. He's a really great gift kids teaching them. Their catechism is great the 1693 Baptist catechism question 17. So it's it's question answer has a question hasn't answer question. 17 says what is sin asking the same question so you can teach your kid what's in is what's the answer given sin? Is anyone is in parentheses lack of Conformity unto or transgression of the law of God think about that. The walls gone in a sense is a standard think of this is a standard a lack of Conformity is not meeting at transgression is going past it. So we take murder. God says Thou shalt not mauritian kill if you kill someone you're trans got you're breaking it. What if I don't kill someone by just going to need I don't really love much despise them. We're not murdering them that you're not coming towards us a nerve actually loving your neighbor. You're failing to come up to what God called loving neighbor and doing what they need. You may not be murdering them, but you not loving them either God's law. Is given it's a holy standard for us to know what is right or wrong in these verses is chilly Gonzales meant to be a standard the show us our guilt before him. I miss repeat that God has given us a standard to show us our guilt before him. This is one of the uses of God's law. It's meant to be something we look too and see you see what God requires of you but its purpose in this portion is to see that I don't need it. Augustine once said the law orders that we after attempting to do what is ordering so feeling our weakness in a wall May learn to implore the means of Grace. Oh, sorry, the help of Grace. What is Augustine meaning? Is that the law of demand don't kill don't steal. No commit adultery honor your parents don't have any other false gods The Ten Commandments you think of them the law demands that orders that and so we try and go bad. We noticed something personal to us is that we can't keep them. We fall short on every level. Says do this and I want to do that. I know God tells me it's all right. Why can't I do it children? Why can't you always obey your parents? Why can't you submit some readily because there's a sinful nature inside of us? Do God's laws meant to do that? Paul starts by saying now we know whatever losses to speak cells are in a law is point. I think is that God gave the Ten Commandments or this could be referring to the Old Testament. He revealed himself to the Jews. So whatever was given in the Old Testament, where were there so sorry Whatever Lola says to speak to us around to the Old Testament people to reveal himself to them but notice he gives Hi talk. Why he gives it? Sorry, what's my place over here? Because by The Works along no flesh will be just fine aside for through the law comes in. I'll just in to the law of God specifically The Ten Commandments were given so weak. We wouldn't realize we can't make ourselves right before God. This is why it says no flesh shall be just fine aside for through the wall comes and I'll just send the wall isn't given so you can try to earn your way to God. It's given to show you. Do you need something else you need something else to make you right with God. That's the main point of this passage that you can't make yourself, right? You can't earn God's favor the wall. Shows you what to do. And what is right. It's mainly meant to be Paul talks about as a tutor. In Galatians chapter 4. It's a tutor that leads us to Christ. The point is when you see that you failed when you see it you've sent before God that you all of us hear anyone listening. You're a sinner before him. The law shows you that so they can lead you to a way to be restored to God. It doesn't leave you there condemned. It leads you to show you that there is someone who can bring you back to God. And it leads us to the last part of this passage verses 21 to 26. Going to read it. But now apart from the law the righteousness of God has been manifested and being Witness by the law and the prophets even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all those who believe there is no distinction for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God being justified as a gift by his grace the Redemption which is in Christ Jesus whom God displayed publicly as a propitiation in his blood through faith. This was to demonstrate his righteousness because in the forbearance of God, he passed over the sins previously committed for the demonstration. I stay of his righteousness at the present time so that he would be just and the justifier the one who has faith in Jesus. cuz we've seen we're all guilty rawal Rebels before God. That is the truth of God's word. We learn from God's law we learn from sin. That's who we are. See, that's the bad news and you have to see that backdrop before you can understand the gospel. This is what made if you've you've heard of the sermon Jonathan Edwards famous sermon that sparked the great revivals sinners in the hands of an Angry God. That's what made that sermon so brilliant. All he was doing was getting people this time to recognize. Do you understand? You've broken God's law. Do you understand? You haven't sinned against some friends. You haven't sinned against them president given sin against your employer The God Who made you you send against him? You'd recognize that you would be amazed. Why am I not in Hell already? It's God as Edwards. It's God's mere pleasure that you're out of the pits right now. It's only his good pleasure that keeps you from Swift Justice that you deserve that I deserve. See, but now we think of the Ephesians part but God transitions. There's one here in but now I'm very glad to get to this part that I have to break you and break myself about how sinful we are. We can move to Grace to this is what the law does it lead us to Grace the God's love surely and truly seen in the gospel. If we just stopped a log on so we would all be condemned would be with no hope and no God in this world, but now there's something else. You see it says the righteousness of God is speaking of you know, what what God does in the gospel has been manifested though the law and the prophets testify to what he means there is so say at the beginning of the Old Testament prophesying a savior was going to come something was going to happen to restore sinful men back to God. He wouldn't just leave us on our own. He's too gracious to loving and so he jacks. so

because we have sand by violin God's wall because we incur the wrath of God for for breaking God's law on sinning against him you didn't there is in all of us specially if you don't know Christ right now. You have two problems with God. First you need and we need. A perfect righteousness to stand before God God is Holy. He will have no part in your sin or my sin. She want to be in his presence. You need to be like him. You need to be covered in his righteousness II you need a substitute you need something to take away. Your sin. God is not a wicked judge you break his wall once he'll make you pay for it. You will not get away from him. Any little send your gun he will make you give an account for and you need something to deal with that. So this is where the Gospel of Jesus Christ comes in and all of its Glory cuz God through the gospel is accomplished both. So first with regards to needing a perfect righteousness notice of Paul says He says even the righteousness of God. Through faith in Jesus Christ for all those who believe there's no distinction. All Sims all fall short of the glory of God, but they are being justified as a gift by his grace the Redemption which is in Christ Jesus Paul Simon on his righteousness been manifested. It's been given by faith. You need a right standing with God. You need a righteousness to cover you. God gives it freely to anyone who places their faith in Jesus. It's a gift. It's all of Grace. It's none of your doing God gives the gift of his own righteousness to anyone all who believe there's no distinction. You've all send you off on short I have to but for all of us have fallen short Godzilla extends a hand and says if you will take my size you believe in my son. I will give you my own righteousness. You can't earn your way to him. He gives you his own righteousness of you can come to him. This is kind of the same point if you you know Romans 4 verse 4 & 5 I'm going to read real quick. It says not to the one who works his wage is not credited as a favourable as what is do but to the one who does not work but believes in him who justifies the ungodly his faith is credited as righteousness. What's that Pastor was Paul talking about if you do something if you work you are and you try to obey God's Commandments I will give you what you deserve which is deaf. So the wages of sin are you can't purpley meet his law so person working he get something errands, but the one who doesn't work doesn't do anything but believes God credits that face that belief as righteousness. It's not through anything you can do. It's simply in trusting in the the blood of Jesus Christ. That's what saves you and gives you a new righteousness a new standing turning from your sin and believing in Jesus. You are you're given as a gift God's very righteousness. Through God's grace through faith. We are giving out during his but think about this if you're guilty if you broke a Ghazal, if you're a sinner, how can you simply just call you? Not guilty. How can you justify do that's a legal term. How can I declare you legally not guilty and think about this when God's very law says, is he cool 1820 the person who sends will die the Wicked Will bear his own wickedness. All of us here are wicked according to Bible we've all sinned. We will die for our own sins. We will bear on wickedness. How can God just do away with that? I think of Proverbs 17:15. It says he who justifies the wicked is an Abomination to the Lord. I just read your Romans 4:5 or says God justifies the ungodly for the wicked. How can God justify the wicked? How can you just buy me or you and not be an Abomination to himself?

The answer found in the word atonement you understand what the atonement is. What happened? You see? You won't know how God can let you slide for your sin because he didn't let Christ slide when you took his him. He took your sin.

He was crushed that you could be set free. You're saying that you deserve the bear Christ freely takes it. bearing shame and scoffing rude in my place condemned he stood That wasn't his crimes that put them on the tree. It was yours and mine. How can God let us slide ice didn't get to slide. He had to take our raft.

This is what score is a notice that the righteous for the unrighteous. God brings us back to God. This is what he's talking about. He says God displays him as a propitiation as a sacrifice it satisfies his Wrath. Why this was the demonstrate his righteousness is he had Abraham David other men that wear his people David lust after a woman and killed her husband so he can have her Abraham with a liar throwing his wife under bus. How could you just not deal with that and call those his people cuz he was saying in the forbearance of God, he passed over the sins previously committed. For the demonstration, I saved his righteousness at the present time. So he might be the justifier just and the justifier the one who has faith in Jesus Christ. What's Paul saying there? How can God be just declaring guilty centers free of sin and how can it be the justifier do that? It's like rushing Christ by putting our sins upon him. He saw Jesus satisfied God's anger. That's what propitiation about exhausted it. The father freely Sims the son Jesus and Jesus out of love freely goes and takes the wrath of God for us. The righteous wrath of God that we should have taken on our own. See all in the Old Testament you have Yom Kippur was the day of atonement was the most significant holiday for the Jewish people the high priest could enter the holiest place in their City the holy of holies. Only once per year on that day. He took two goats one of them he put his hands and pray all the sins of the nation. He would Slaughter that goat. Showing at this is what you're sending nerves and how would the people know they're forgetting for God. There's a second goat. God would take the high priest would take that goat Walk It Out The City Walk It Out the gates to the Wilderness and Let It Go showing that's what God thinks of the people sent. It's gone. It's forgotten. He no longer brings it to mind on the hillside of Calvary the Spotless Lamb of God filled the true day of atonement. We're all of God's people once and for all our sin was atone for it was paid it's finished. It's over. Therefore having been justified by faith. We have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ Romans 5:1. This is what I told me. It's about we have said we have all fallen short understand how condemning that is to think think of this God offers free pardon and forgiveness restoration that you don't have to live in your sin and be a slave to it. You can be restored to The God Who made you and it's by faith alone. It's a gift. God will give you his own righteousness. He placed his own wrath upon his son that he can let you slide. So this is why you'll reason Romans 8:1 the Glorious conclusion. Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ. Jesus all our sin Place Funk rice and now he's risen from the dead and we are now with him United with him and nothing can be against us now for our God is with us through Christ. so for those of you Told you I struggle with your shirts doubting. You know, I'm weak at times I struggle How can I

How can God love me you have to rest at the atonement that it was Grace unmerited favor that God sent Christ only give you a few quotes. What's your heart melt and just rest in peace. Steve Lawson said Grace was purchased by Thrice. Grace washes away sin. Grace berries, the past Grace gives a new start Grace leads to Heaven. Grace will never let go. That's God's unmerited favor came with a cross in it for all of our sin. Rest on that you're struggling Paul Washer. I love this quote says God is not a God who tolerates you? He's a God who loves you? He's a God who desires you? So often we see how weak and sinful we are don't think God is some God who just puts up with you. Reminds me of Galatians 1 at Famous better is a gliac license to try saying I've been crucified pulsing. I've been crucified with Christ Christ the life. I live in the flesh. I live by faith my son of God who loved me and gave himself for me to see what the cross signifies God isn't some distance for God. He doesn't put up with you. He actually loves you. He's willing to give his own life and substitution for yours, even though you didn't deserve it. That's Grace. Christian rest in the atonement put all your faith in that not yourself your efforts your good deeds. It's that Christ died for you. It is all we rest in Sinclair Ferguson said in Christ a wonderful Exchange took place. He became what he was not a Condemned criminal in order that we might become a we are not men declared righteous and just fine. The Son of God. The Great Exchange is our hope the crisis crossed that we could be saved he was wounded and we could be healed. He was cast off from God that we can be brought near that's what the atonement about got accomplished something glorious for Sinners and Rebels like us. Lastly a w pink and this one has often been very helpful for me. He foresaw my every fall my every send my every backsliding you never less fixes heart on sale. That's what's really remarkable about the gospel about Grace. How unmarried it is. It's not about what you're going to give to God about who God is and what he's done for us in Christ. If you struggle with insurance and outs rest in that believer and sold our love for us just to sit there and just continue to Proclaim that God has for us to Christ. I need to move on because there's the world you and wants pervert this glorious message. I just presented to you. I want to remind you of Five Points though of everything. I just kind of tallest Five summary points first all men are guilty before God. There is none righteous or not. Guilty all men. Second sin is determined by God's law whether it's a lack of Conformity. You're not meeting the standard Knoxville. Loving your neighbor. Or transgression of it you break God's all you do what he claims you not to do God's wall determines. What sin is going blank. To establish then if you're going to say someone send me a cute someone to send you have to show you have to prove how they violated God's law can't just say. Oh, I didn't like it when things aren't don't get me wrong. It's not good to call someone a fence because you were uncomfortable something doesn't mean no sinful. God wall determines if it's in 4th Street Elementary, Jesus has fully accomplished forgiveness. First people complete atonement complete forgiveness. No more since we now have peace and joy with God a new state last the gospel is solely and exclusively the message of God's grace through faith in the working person of Jesus Christ grace alone faith alone in the Gospel of Jesus the gospel that says there's no works. You do not add things to do to the gospel and call at the gospel. You're now getting into the Galatians heresy. And Paul said anyone doing that need to be accursed. Tell the gospels the gospel. Don't add Works to it. And so to remind you of this hole for a Marxist worldview. Again, some of you may not even been falling going to try to Briefly summarize again not too long, but I want to read you a quote from a particular person. I don't think this person may be a professor. Maybe they are at some school. I don't know but they're clearly bought into this world you I'm going to read it and just point out a few things to help refresh your mind. If you've never been introduced what this person's actually doing is he's applying what I've been calling cultural Marxism. It's also been called critical theory. He's applying it to dieting dietary food eating. This is actually called clinical dietary Theory. I'm going to redo this I should be up there and you can follow along. It says junk food does not exist food is food. Do use of this language is generally to police fat people did but fat people they existed before the language will just laughter is long gone through the food, you need fats and carbohydrates to who did not healthy or unhealthy food railing against junk food or unhealthy food is anti-black classes and anti fat food is food food provides nutrients food is good. So many people have such horrific relations with rude because diet Coulter teaches us to listen to imagine that everything you thought you knew about food was taught on a white supremacist capitalistic anti-black Foundation because it was because of the rainfall. Yeah, I'm not saying this is the final arbitrary standard of everything cultural Marxism. But this is someone very clearly influenced by it. Notice couple things you don't understand that sounds very confusing. What's the first talked about?

They're assuming there's power structures that play there's a hegemony. I talked about white cisgender. So you agree with the gender. God gave you to birth your head or sexual so you're not homosexual men. Apparently we so I'll be included we have controlled and establish Society to benefit us. Institutions everything in society. It's here to benefit me and depress anyone who doesn't have my skin color who may be female or maybe is transgender or maybe he's homosexual. Apparently hegemony has been oppressing everyone. It's been called a zero-sum game. You can't look at things and say why is this like that? We can't investigate like outside does you just study things and you determine all that? Maybe that's what's causing. I know it has to be oppression has to be systemic Sim. That's it. The zero-sum game. There's nothing else. We're not going to debate this. Is it racism at the pressure in the systemic problem? That's all it is. That's why he talks about if you know severian everything you learned has been taught by a white supremacist and I can't hurt caplis anti-black Foundation because it was he's assuming this class struggle with the very beginning. That's why they start taking apart words like healthy and unhealthy food. Will the only reason we call things healthy or unhealthy? Bring to them would be because that's why people have determined it to impress everyone else we've done is oppressed fat people even apparently by the way. I'm actually obesity level one. So I'm in that group by the way, so That's the world you that's just applied to dieting when this stuff comes in the church think it does that much craziness to dieting. What do you think is going to do the gospel? And see this stuff has been brought in. And because of shortness I had for Preparation. I didn't get a lot of time to maybe bring in better clear examples. I'm going to walk you through five things where this is really polluted God's the gospel and just the teachings. I mentioned those five points. I said first all men are guilty before God. There's none righteous or not guilty will not necessarily in this world you in my first last and I explained all this stuff comes from atheism comes from it doesn't come from a world. Do we have we we believe God created the world. He has his little he's established a ring on this material list. We all come from space dust. We have developer monkeys are fish than monkeys and is one point where something else and that's all false all YouTube children listening truth false. We were created in God's image. This stuff says no you're not and so there are classes of people you have the oppressors and oppressed and the oppressed class. They can't do any send you realize that right. That's why black lives matter and these other organizations they justify when they're burning down cities. Stores are justifying. Why because they're just depressed people trying to take its Zacks of somebody Vargas reparations. You heard us for so long you been impressing us through all this system extend. We're just giving you your comeuppance now, Shell they're not even guilty of sin now in this world you and now white people if you have white skin color, which is the majority of our nation. You're guilty. Guess what not. Did anything you did because your skin color you need to renounce Your Privilege your issue. That's what they teach. Certain people are guilty certain people are the main problem in this world you is oppression main room in our world you is rebellion, we all individually rebelled against God regardless of your upbringing ethnicity where you came from your biggest problem is your sin against God not alleged systemic oppression the second I said as soon as determined by whether its lack Conformity or transgressing it also said thirdly that if you're going to stablish then you must prove someone is violated God's law. That's what we believe in this world privileges. Send. Specifically White Privilege this nonsense that they teach if you're bored light skin colored regardless of your upbringing like I don't know I have white skin color by came from a single-parent poor background. Apparently, I have white privilege to you apparently guilty as a violet unrighteous in this world you I want to ask you one question. How does privilege violate God's law answer? It doesn't first off. We don't find that privilege to buy into the clear teaching at there's a sovereign God who determines all things. Those privileged ID again comes from a bankrupt world you that's why we don't accept it. Also, they view disparities as Sin it's ever since a zero-sum game. for example people look at why is there a high percentage of people with black and black man in prisons? They don't want examine the evidence. I want to look at it won't discuss it. It's it must be systemic oppression. Oppression. That's it. The zero-sum game the reason why are black people don't have this or more white people are doing good over here. It is oppression. That's it. That's all they see. They take disparities to equal send. Let me ask you again. We're in the law of God is this a disparity equals sin answer? It doesn't go to assume that's ending and now here's the biggest problem. It's slanderous and evil to charge someone to send you as invalid God's all you really that's slander and that's in God's wall bearing false witness claimed someone guilty of sin because their skin color because there are Privileged that's vile slander that violates God's law not being privileged or just a disparity that you won't investigate with true science and facts. Until the last lie system extension cannot just be assumed based on worldview. Must be demonstrated by a violation of God's all you want to see a real system X in the society. Looks like Nazi Germany where a whole nation and a government allowed them to exterminate erase people that juice. How do I know that's a Ceramics in because murder is God's law says don't do it. They were continually doing it. It didn't care the whole government allowed it all the people went along with that systemic evil. You want to know what one America stock we do the same thing the little children in the womb our government sends money to it. We ripped children apart limb by limb in a woman's Moon that is murder it evil to stomach and it needs beer announcing abolished in America. But you can't just say their system exam without killing ourselves by Lil God's law again. All you're doing if you're not going to provide proof or fax or showing on someone actually violate God's all just slandering to be honest. Same people are sinning against other people but not too showing where they violate God's law. So last name as soon My fourth point was the talmud. Jesus is fully accomplished forgiveness with people not in this world you There's only condemnation in the woke church again woke all that means is like you're want to sleep. Now, you're awake. Now, you're awake to the realities of systemic oppression cuz they are everywhere. You just have to find it. That's what Robin. Diangelo white fragility teaches you it's not a matter of did racism manifest. Its how did it manifest? That's why we see people endorsing this stuff in our church and our church been Church abroad disgusting because there's no true lasting peace. There's no forgiveness in this world you if you're part of the oppressive class, if you're like me who rails against his ideology, it would never be forgiveness for me only constant Penance. I can never live up to the perceived impression I calls and how I stick up I guess to the for the oppressors in this whole world you I can never be forgiven. I have to constantly commit Penance do all these work show them. I'm just anti-racist. But that's what that whole worldview about. There's no forgiveness. There's no endgame in it constant hatred and recycling of all this anger and animosity. Jesus in the world, do we have in the gospel? We have true forgiveness. not in this world you it knows nothing of that and finally we gospel is solely the message is salvation by grace through faith in the work of Jesus Christ as last point I made When this comes into the church, especially in I really do wish I had more time to document it where this is came in. I do apologize. The problem we see in the church is what happens when Christians adopt this stuff. They start mixing the law and the gospel what Christ is done with what we could do what we should do. Incorporate what we need to be doing in that in our culture and I say that's the gospel. Excuse me, cuz the people in Galatians were saying yeah, Jesus died for our sins. You just need to be circumcised too. And that's the gospel and Paul told them anyone telling you that message need be cursed. We see people. Different organizations and people from imposters thing one off, had I do know of clearly I don't want to just drop names and be slander is cuz I do believe it's evil one specifically was Eric Mason author of The woke church. He is actually Paul Tripp snooze Pastor. I don't think it's super new but he's been his pasture. So if you've noticed things from Paul Tripp, that's why Eric Mason have a sermon a few months ago about biblical case for reparations. And he tried arguing there that if you're against reparations, then you're not in line with the gospel. Because I don't mind your worldview and implications of your worldview. I don't believe in the gospel. The gospel is what Jesus did not what you think I should be doing with reparations. Eric Mason really mixes law and gospel a lot. I know John Harris a guy I've recommended before he documents. Hell, I think Tim Keller really does this also if you ever heard I've been blessed by Tim Keller stuff before but this is what happens when it comes in the church people take the Goths when they preferred it with works. So we constantly see seven summary to close freaks of cultural Marxism and we will have to adjust or change the doctrine of sin if there's new send now they have new categories of sim. We're guys brought God's law because they don't use that standard. Anyways, what they tell us what the victim's tell us with the perceived victim say is is truth. That's a truth not God's law. I got standard. It's what the victim's tell us. And finally would have to pervert the gospel with Works song about Jesus alone dying for a day. Glorious message. We spent the first half studying. Don't worry about that. It's about what we perceive we should be doing a society define systemic racism. So that's proving that goes for Marks and it's both cancerous and incompatible Christian faith message. We will not we cannot endorse it will have no part with it. And so when I other clothes I don't want to close on that message on the clothes and what we talked at 4. All you going home. I pray that is there any here that you don't know if you're Christian or not? It was chosen hurts anyone visiting. Have you come to see by God's law that you have failed before God? You fall short God demands perfection. Law of God has given to show you. You can't earn God's favor. Jesus. Us. Turn to Jesus. All God calls you do is repent of your sins turn from them and turn to him trust him what he has done for Sinners. Let's go in. Peace.
