Introduction

This Morning I have “Two Questions” for you!
Revelation 7:13 NKJV
13 Then one of the elders answered, saying to me, “Who are these arrayed in white robes, and where did they come from?”
One of the twenty-four elders ask two questions:
Who are they, and where did they come from?
He already knows the answer, but he will ask them anyway to make sure everyone else does.
Tim LaHaye - These “Tribulation Saints” constitute a distinctive category, just as the Church and Israel or Old Testament Saints form a special company. Each group has its own relationship to Christ, depending on the period of time in which these individuals were converted. That these are believers is unquestionable in view of the fact that they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb (Revelation 7:14).
The topic this morning is entitled

The Blood of the Lamb

Revelation 7:14 NKJV
14 And I said to him, “Sir, you know.” So he said to me, “These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
This great multitude before the throne of God will come out the Tribulation Period.
They will be saved people; people clothed in the righteousness of Jesus;
people who trusted in the shed blood of the Lamb*.
Some say the Church will convert the world,
But Daniel talked about a time when the Antichrist will dominate the saints (Daniel 7:25),
Jesus talked about a time of tribulation when the saints will be killed (Matthew 24:9, 21–22),
Paul talked about a time when the Antichrist will oppose everyone who worships God (2 Thessalonians 2:3–4), and here John confirms what they said.
The 24 elder’s answer - tells us what the 144,000 will be preaching.
They will preach the blood of the Lamb. The fact that these 144,000 are Israelites will not alter their message.
When most prophecy experts talk about the “Great Tribulation,”
They are talking about the last three and one-half years of the seven-year period.
But in this verse, the term refers to all those who have come out of the entire seven-year Tribulation Period.
And then

Suddenly

Revelation 7:15 NKJV
15 Therefore they are before the throne of God, and serve Him day and night in His temple. And He who sits on the throne will dwell among them.
This is a very special promise.
On earth, the saved will not be safe anywhere.
They will either starve, die of disease, or be murdered.
There will be no way to escape the clutches of the Antichrist.
Suddenly, they will find themselves in the throne room of God, face-to-face with Jesus,
surrounded by angels, clothed in white robes, and protected by God*.

A Covering of Protection

Revelation 7:16 NKJV
16 They shall neither hunger anymore nor thirst anymore; the sun shall not strike them, nor any heat;
The Tribulation Saints will face hunger, thirst, death from starvation and poisoned water, burning by the blazing sun, and suffocation by scorching heat.
Once they arrive in heaven, though, it will never happen again.
They will be in the fortress,
a refuge of the almighty God.
It is a place of constant protection that cannot be breached.
God promises in heaven we will never suffer again. This is God’s promise.

Jack Van Impel - The World Watch Institute recently reported that carbon emissions, deforestation, and soil erosion are worsening. Birds are disappearing. Destructive insects are developing resistance to pesticides. The seas are producing fewer harvests of edible fish. Grain stocks are down. Tropical rain forests are dwindling.

Jack Hayford - Our blessed hope in Christ’s return resounds throughout the millennia of church history; all Christians have looked expectantly to His coming: “Even so come, Lord Jesus!” (Revelation 22:20).

No More Tears

Revelation 7:17 NKJV
17 for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”
​

Chapter Wrap-Up

​
An angel will place the mark of God on the foreheads of God’s servants so that his judgments do not harm them. (Revelation 7:2–3)
God is not finished with Israel. He will seal 144,000 of them with his mark of protection; 12,000 will come from each of the twelve tribes of Israel. (Revelation 7:4–8)
During the Tribulation multitudes will be killed on earth. These martyrs will find themselves in heaven standing before Jesus. (Revelation 7:9)
A Great Worship Service will start in heaven when the Tribulation Saints, followed by the rest of heaven’s inhabitants, start worshiping God for being the author of salvation. (Revelation 7:10–11)
God promises that the martyrs will never again endure the hardships they suffered on earth, and he promises to wipe their tears away. (Revelation 7:15–17)

Salvation

John 3:16 NKJV
16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
As we bow our heads:
