Prepping For Persecution

Satan is preparing for the kingdom of the antichrist
we see the buildup
reducing the world population
global currency
no borders
killing of small business
shutting down churches… England underground
persecution and killing around the world
1 Peter a letter to the church in P for P
has nothing to do with a bunker
but every thing to do with being Christ like
remembering what Jesus has done for us
Remembering who we are in Jesus
getting rid of sin, subjecting our selves to
Government, Husbands, Masters, Employers, and each other
Give Honor to God by submitting ourselves
don’t Give in to your fleshly desires
Peter want us to be the very best citizens
to exhibit Jesus to the world
be a light in the darkness
1 Peter 1:3–5 LEB
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 into an inheritance imperishable and undefiled and unfading, reserved in heaven for you 5 who are being protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time,

And Finally

1 Peter 3:8 LEB
8 And finally, all of you be harmonious, sympathetic, showing mutual affection, compassionate, humble,
All of you - the Body of believers
All believers all over the world
all of these words can be summed up in the word LOVE
Be harmonious, Unity of mind different ways, methods, all to build up the Body of believers and disciple
are you open to God showing you whether your attitude or action contributes to or detracts from the harmony in your local body, in your family, in your marriage, in your workplace, etc?
Be Sympathetic- Be sympathetic
Show mutual affection -Loving fellow believers
Be Compassionate sincere feelings for the needs of others
Be Humble Lowly in mind
Humility is not thinking poorly of oneself. Rather, it is having the proper estimate of oneself in the will of God. The person with humility thinks of others first and not of himself.
these qualities are all descriptions of what we are on the inside, not primarily how we act.
they are, because of our new birth
we must deliberately decide to love life
an attitude of faith that sees the best in every situation
1 Peter 3:9 LEB
9 not repaying evil for evil or insult for insult, but on the other hand blessing others, because for this reason you were called, so that you could inherit a blessing.
No retaliation
Matthew 5:38–42 LEB
38 “You have heard that it was said, ‘An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.’ 39 But I say to you, do not resist the evildoer, but whoever strikes you on the right cheek, turn the other to him also. 40 And the one who wants to go to court with you and take your tunic, let him have your outer garment also. 41 And whoever forces you to go one mile, go with him two. 42 Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you.
we operate on a basis of mercy and grace
1 Peter 2:23 LEB
23 who when he was reviled, did not revile in return; when suffering, he did not threaten, but entrusted himself to the one who judges justly,
Proverbs 20:22 LEB
22 Do not say “I will repay evil”; wait for Yahweh and he will deliver you.
F B Meyer asks…
How do we reply to injury? Do we bless when we are cursed, or do we retaliate with hot and indignant words? Are we willing to leave our vindication with God?

So That

1 Peter 3:9 LEB
9 not repaying evil for evil or insult for insult, but on the other hand blessing others, because for this reason you were called, so that you could inherit a blessing.
Matthew 5:10–12 LEB
10 Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, because theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 11 Blessed are you when they insult you and persecute you and say all kinds of evil things against you, lying on account of me. 12 Rejoice and be glad, because your reward is great in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets before you.
Giving a blessing (2127) (eulogeo from eu = good + lógos = word) when used by men toward men it means to speak well of with praise and thanksgiving (English "eulogize"). It means to invoke God’s blessing upon them.
speak well of the person persecuting you
Jesus on the cross, “Father forgive them they don't know what they are doing”
So as a believer, when it comes, back off and say,
"God, I don’t know what you are doing in this, but thank you that you are in control of it and I am not about to wish evil upon this person. I want them to know the same God I know and trust and walk with day by day."
Receive a Blessing
Called, the reason God chose you
Calling always accompanies enabling
and who knows, if the one persecuting you is also called?
Inherit A son/ daughter receiving something from one who has died

5 Blessed are the meek, because they will inherit the earth.
Matthew 19:29 LEB

Matthew 25:34 LEB
34 Then the king will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father. Inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world!
Receive a blessing - we have recieved the blessing of forgiveness
blessing of a new life
blessing of a new home
blessing of a new family

a model citizen
Its hard for people to persecute good people
someone who speaks kind things about you
1 Peter 3:12 LEB
12 For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their prayer. But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.
Conclusion
We are called as a child of the King to act like the King
we are called to share in His suffering
we are called to love life, and have life abundantly
but that life is gotten God’s way, not our way
