* The beginning of The Promise Genesis 12:1-3, he must first separate himself, 2 Corinthians 6:17 come out from among them, and be ye separate

* 1.Promise of the land Genesis 13:11-18, Lot had to be separated out

* An altar, a memorial, a sacrifice was made to Jehovah, blood confirming the covenant in verse 18

* 2. Covenant by established by blood, Genesis 15:5-8 first great statement of Faith

* Genesis 15:16-21 pre incarnate Jesus consuming the sacrifice

* Upon the promise and the covenant, Abram could base his hope

* From Hope, comes Faith, and now a new name, ABRAHAM, not until Genesis 17:5, does he go from Abram to Abraham

* Abram means high or exalted father, Abraham means Father of Many Nations, or a Father of a Multitude, Sarai or dominative goes to Sarah, or Princess

* For 25 years Abram waited on God’s promise to come to pass, faith hooked backward to hope, covenant, and the promise can tarry or wait for manifestation, at 74 Abram had the promise, at 99 he had the new name and Isaac, or laughter

* The gospel, or the good news, was backed by the same 5 steps…
