Kingdom Worker

What does it mean to be a Kingdom Worker?

Outside the norm
Not within your comfort zone.
prepared to get dirty
To go beyond the what others will do.
To expect trials and road blocks because of your work.
Philippians 3:14 NASB95
14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
furthermore:Kingdom workers work toward the goal of Glorifying God in all that they do.
Colossians 3:17 NASB95
17 Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father.
Colossians 3:23 NASB95
23 Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men,
Those who do gracious and tireless work for God; are thankful for the Lords involvement in their lives.
Philippians 2:13 NASB95
13 for it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure.

Kingdom work means that sometimes you will encounter various trials but the end result will be more than worth the work you do is His will.
Ephesians 2:10 NASB95
10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.
Kingdom workers know the have been properly prepared and are confident in who’s work they are doing.

What can prevent proper Kingdom work?

Philippians 2:3–4 NASB95
3 Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves; 4 do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others.

By looking for the praise of man out of fear; like those who looked to the Pharisees instead of (Jesus)

They Proclaim the Word.

They put the gospel into action.

This is the application

Now that we know all about kingdom work.

What does this mean to you and me and how we are to be successful in it.
Look for the upward call in Christ Jesus
Look for praise from God instead of man
work for Gods glory in everything
put aside our own selfish ambitions
study and gain the knowledge and trust
we put it into action
God is who you should work for and that is what Kingdom workers do.

Now Go out and do God’s work that you have been tasked by Him to do.
