Today, we see the role of sanctification plays in hope, why everyone must be ready to witness, how you need to present evidence for Jesus, and this will all sum up to giving an answer of hope.

Honor Christ

Moses did not honor the Lord as Holy
Numbers 20:12 ESV
12 And the Lord said to Moses and Aaron, “Because you did not believe in me, to uphold me as holy in the eyes of the people of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land that I have given them.”
We must honor the Lord as Holy before man
Isaiah 5:16 ESV
16 But the Lord of hosts is exalted in justice, and the Holy God shows himself holy in righteousness.
God; religion and church today are the subject of ridicule and comedy
We need to sanctify Him, set Him apart as Holy and return to Fear

Be Ready

We will be set before men to give an account of God
Psalm 119:46 ESV
46 I will also speak of your testimonies before kings and shall not be put to shame,
Christians are to be witnesses of God, giving an accurate account of His Glory
Jeremiah had to give an account to Judah at the threat of his life
Daniel and the boys had to give an account to Nebuchadnezzar at the threat of their lives
Amos had to go before King Amaziah calling the nation to repentance
Jesus said in Mt. 10:18-20 you will drug before Govenors and Kings and Gentiles to bear witness for His sake
In Lk. Jesus said don’t worry about what you’re going to say it will be given to you
In Acts 4 Peter told the Jewish leaders and those standing by that salvation is in no other name except Jesus whom they crucified
In Acts 5 when the Apostles were told not to preach, they responded they must obey God rather than man
In Acts 21 Paul begged a hostile crowd to let him speak about Jesus
Colossians 4:6 ESV
Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.
Paul said
2 Tim. 2 Paul told Timothy and by extension us, to correct with gentleness to perhaps grant repentance leading to knowledge and truth

A Reason

Isaiah 1:18 ESV
“Come now, let us reason together, says the Lord: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool.
Worldly people want to say the Bible makes no sense
Christianity is all about reason and evidence
Without it there could be no science
It is the constant in the lives of men that allows us to operate with our environment and one another
The reasoning of scripture makes many people mad
Acts 24:25 ESV
And as he reasoned about righteousness and self-control and the coming judgment, Felix was alarmed and said, “Go away for the present. When I get an opportunity I will summon you.”
Do not leave the truth of scripture to promote a more palatable worldly premise. Stick with the Bible!

The Hope

We are born again into this hope
1 Peter 1:3–4 ESV
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you,
The Gospel and Word of Truth establishes Hope
Colossians 1:5 ESV
because of the hope laid up for you in heaven. Of this you have heard before in the word of the truth, the gospel,
God who never lies has given us these promises
Titus 1:2 ESV
in hope of eternal life, which God, who never lies, promised before the ages began
Steadfast Hope increases faithfulness
Hebrews 3:6 ESV
but Christ is faithful over God’s house as a son. And we are his house, if indeed we hold fast our confidence and our boasting in our hope.
Conclusion:
Christians need to honor Christ setting Him apart in how we chose to live
Being ready is the default for those who can witness about the Son of God
Familarize yourself the proofs of Christianity to be built up in the faith and effectively respond to critics
Dowing the above three things will build up a hope in you that will not fade
How does this Hope begin...
