What does this have with Jesus going away?
Jesus is love the only person on earth who someone could point to and say He is Love
because he is love, Jesus came to earth
because He is love, He healed the sick
because He is love, He is able to forgive
Because He is love, He put up with the disciples infighting
Because He is love, He put up with their lack of faith
Because He is love, He was able to teach them over and over the same lesson
Because He is love, He being tired and worn out was able to teach and feed the 4000

SOO Jesus tells the men to love one another the same way
But Jesus is love, so how can we do the same
9 But concerning brotherly love, I do not have need to write to you, for you yourselves are taught by God to love one another,
5 and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
14 We know that we have passed over from death to life because we love the brothers. The one who does not love remains in death.
12 No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God resides in us and his love is perfected in us.

4 Love is patient, love is kind, love is not jealous, it does not boast, it does not become conceited, 5 it does not behave dishonorably, it is not selfish, it does not become angry, it does not keep a record of wrongs, 6 it does not rejoice at unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth, 7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Jesus prayed that Peters faith would not fail
Jesus preserves the faith of those who are saved
36 But I said to you that you have seen me and do not believe. 37 Everyone whom the Father gives to me will come to me, and the one who comes to me I will never throw out, 38 because I have come down from heaven not that I should do my will, but the will of the one who sent me. 39 Now this is the will of the one who sent me: that everyone whom he has given me, I would not lose any of them, but raise them up on the last day. 40 For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks at the Son and believes in him would have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.”
6 convinced of this same thing, that the one who began a good work in you will finish it until the day of Christ Jesus,
