IF YOU SHOW UP WITHOUT THE TACKLE-BOX you may not get much done. — No hook, line, or sinker. — No bait — You have to be prepared — IF SOMEONE TRIES TO TAKE YOU FISHING AND THEY DON’T HAVE ONE… THEY MAY NOT REALLY BE PREPARED TO FISH
We have been invited on the ultimate fishing trip — But are you prepared to fish? — are you getting ready to fish?
IF YOU TOLD SOMEONE YOU WERE A CHRISTIAN would they be surprised? — If you invited someone to church would they hold your opinion highly? — Would they see enough signs in your life to go “I can take their advice”? — Jacked up teeth dentist? — Life coach with no Job? — Marriage counselor with 3 divorces?
THE NUMBER ONE REASON that people that don’t follow Jesus give for not following Jesus is OTHER CHRISTIANS. WHY IS THIS?
I BELIEVE A LOT OF US SAY ONE THING AND DO ANOTHER — Do as I say not as I do?? — THAT DOESN’T WORK

27 Later, as Jesus left the town, he saw a tax collector named Levi sitting at his tax collector’s booth. “Follow me and be my disciple,” Jesus said to him. 28 So Levi got up, left everything, and followed him.
29 Later, Levi held a banquet in his home with Jesus as the guest of honor. Many of Levi’s fellow tax collectors and other guests also ate with them.
LEVI’S LIFE WAS COMPLETELY CHANGED — Jesus called him — He left everything — ONE WEEK LATER — He calls his friends who are still far from God to meet Jesus — THIS WAS HIS NUMBER 1 PRIORITY
SOMETHING HAD TO BE DIFFERENT ABOUT LEVI — His friends had to have seen a change in his life — That this was serious to him for them to actually show up — These people were SUPER far from God because we learn later that people were mad that Jesus was with them — LEVI MUST HAVE CHANGED — BEEN DOING WHAT BELIEVERS ARE CALLED TO DO — HE MUST HAVE TAKEN HIS NEW FAITH SERIOUSLY — HE MUST HAVE HAD A FULL TACKLE-BOX

There is nothing like the physical gathering of God’s people — We gather, we worship, we learn, and we are energized to go out — ARE YOU MAKING IT A PRIORITY?
CHURCH — Is where I learned about God— Met my best friends — met my wife — built lasting relationships — found my purpose — saw my family members saved and baptized —
WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU SKIPPED SOMETHING FOR CHURCH? — WHY WOULD SOMEONE ACCEPT YOUR INVITE TO CHURCH WHEN YOU ONLY COME ONCE A MONTH?
GALLUP POLL FROM DECEMBER 2020 — Republicans were less happy — democrats — male — female — Married — not married — under $40,000 over $100,000 — White — not white — THOSE WHO ATTENDED CHURCH WEEKLY???? UP 4% from 2019-2020 WHAT!?
THE LOCAL CHURCH IS THE GREATEST EVANGELISTIC TOOL ON THE PLANET — We get REACH LIKE NEVER BEFORE

Baptism is an amazing way to tell people about Jesus. — You would be amazed at the family members and friends who wouldn’t come normally but will come for baptism — JESUS KNOWS SOME OF YOU ARE INTROVERTS — This breaks you out of that shell

1% Percent of christians who attend church regularly give the God commanded 10%. Only 37% of people who attend church regularly even give anything.
To contrast that, 75% of people who do not attend church regularly donate to charity.
GOD TRANSFORMS THE TITHE INTO CHANGED LIVES
If every adult here gave 10% of the average income for Murfreesboro, which is a decently low number, we could be in our own building by the end of the summer.
