In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men.
There was the true Light which, coming into the world, enlightens every man.

The Light of Men is truth. Truth exposes lies.
The Light of Men is truth. Truth exposes lies.
Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I proceeded forth and have come from God, for I have not even come on My own initiative, but He sent Me.
“Why do you not understand what I am saying? It is because you cannot hear My word.
“You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
Assurance of one’s salvation can be based upon a lie.
The religious sect of the Pharisees took confidence in their standing with God based upon their knowledge of scripture, their strict pious living, and their ancestral heritage as descendants of Abraham.
However, their spiritual life was based upon lies.
Lies are threatened by the truth. This is why the religious leaders were threatened by the Life and teachings of Jesus.
Their desire was to silence the Son of God that they claimed to worship and know as their spiritual Father.
Here, Jesus exposes their real Father.
One never resembles Satan more than when they lie or act in hypocrisy.
Lies, along with hatred and malice toward the truth, are the very nature and essence of Satan.

“For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed.
The light of men has come into this world, however, many would not that it had come at all.
The light came to save from the darkness, but many are not looking to be saved. These regret the consequences of sin but not the sin itself. Their sorrow only comes when they are caught.
This is why they avoid the light. They fear the light’s exposure, hence, they reject Christ.
These have the wrath of God abiding on them. There condemnation is fixed. Their eternal judgment awaits them. Hell waits to consume them
The Light of Men is Righteousness. Righteousness Exposes Unrighteousness.

God was in Christ calling all men unto Himself.
If one will not harden his or her heart, but receive the light of life, he or she can escape the darkness.
Jesus Christ not only exposes the lies of the devil, the deceitfulness of sin, and our guilt. but He shows us the way of Life,
He Himself, is the way, the truth, and the life.

Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation!
He is the only way to God!
You must receive Him or reject Him!
But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name,
for “Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
