I wanna talk to you guys about something real quick. A lot of people here may have heard about this guy named Jesus and a lot of you have not. And I want you all to know that we are all here today to hear the good news. But before we start there you have to understand the weight of your sin. When God created all things perfect man decided to take his own path into darkness. But because of what happened at the beginning we are all heirs to sin and darkness. No matter what we do we will always fall short of holiness and never quite make it close to the righteousness that God requires from all of us. In Romans Paul tells us that the “wages of sin is death” that ultimately because of our sin and wrongdoing every single one of you guys here deserve nothing more than death. Everyone always says “oh my goodness what about all the good people in the world, why doesn’t God just save them” Well let me tell you something real quick, there are no good people. It says that all fall short of the glory of God, no one is good, and there was only one good person who has ever lived and his name was Jesus. Everyone has to shift their prideful thinking of this idea that we deserve so much more than we really do. The bar is here (show with hand) but we fail every, single, time. So what did God do?.....
