Baie duidelik is God die definisie van wat Heilig is. - It is very clear that God is the living definition of what is Holy:

Die konsep Heilig is abstrak, maar tog ‘n werklikheid. Die konsep Heilig word deur God, Sy karakter, Sy Gestalte, Sy lig, wie Die groot EK IS is... weerspieel. As jy God kan pyl, kan jy die konsep Heilig pyl.
Net God kan iets Heilig. Sy teenwoordigheid, maak dit Heilig. As iets nie Heilig is nie, is dit omdat God nie daar is nie.
God is die oorsprong van Heilighied... en waar Hy is, is dit heilig. Die kerk gebou is heilig, net as Jesus hier is.

Duidelik is dit Jesus/God wat iets Heilig maak. Soos die kerk gebou. Daar is niks heilig aan die gebou of bakstene nie. Maar omdat dit God se huis is, Sy teenwoordigheid, maak dit heilig...

Ontheilig - defilemen is in the Bible always connected to sin. Why?
You see God is the only One that is Holy. Where He is, is it Holy. His presence make it Holy. And sin

Our sins seperate us from God. Thus, when we sin, we defile holyness. We couse that God and us to be seperated.. In this way, He that is the only Holy one, the One who Holies us and Holies everything. leaves.

So, ons onderhou die Sabbatdag... Ons plaas dit eenkant... sonder dit af om saam met God te rus. Ons doen dit tot eer van ons Skepper...
Wat Heilig die Sabbat. God doen. Hy het die dag, die tyd eenkant geplaas om te rus. As ‘n herdenking van Sy Skepping.
Ons onderhou die Sabbat deur om dit te hou. Hoekom is die Sabbatdag Heilig vir jou as jy dit onderhou?
Want dan is God by jou. Onthou Sonde bring skyding tussen jou en God. Sodra jy dan ongehoorsaam is aan God, dan sondig jy, en dit bring skyding tussen jou en God...

Because thou hast rejected the word of Jehovah, he hath also rejected thee from being king.
By going our onw ways, by not doing all to the glory of God, by sinning on the Sabbat… We are defiling Sabbat. We are not keeping it Holy. By our sins. we bring seperation with God. With the one who make the Sabbath Holy. Jesus is the Lord of the Sabbath. Without Him in the Sabbath, the Sabbath is not Holy for you. As soon as we do things to the glory of self, we are making ourself an idol. Because we are makind our own desires higher than what God wants of us.
Sabbath is a time to connect with God. Time to connect with others… Be God’s hands and ears…
Carry each others burdens … fullfill in this way the law of God
|Time to set the material things aside..

. The halo of glory, which God had given holy Adam to cover him as a garment, departed from him after his trans gression. The light of God's glory could not cover disobedience and sin. In the place of health and plenitude of blessings, poverty, sickness, and suffering of every type were to be the portion of the children of Adam. {Con 35.1}

Die lig van God se heerlikheid kon ongehoorsaamheid en sonde nie bedek nie. In die plek van gesondheid en oorvloed van seëninge, sou armoede, siekte en lyding van elke soort die deel van die kinders van Adam wees. {Con 35.1}
Sodra sonde intree. bring dit skeiding tussen ons en God... God is deel van ons lewe... Heiligheid is deel van ons lewe wanneer God deel van ons lewe is. Net soos Sabbat... Maar jy gaan nie die Sabbat se Heiligheid in as jy sonde het nie...

Justice and Mercy stood apart, in opposition to each other, separated by a wide gulf. The Lord our Redeemer clothed his divinity with humanity, and wrought out in behalf of man a character that was without spot or blemish. Justice moved from its exalted throne, and with all the armies of heaven approached the cross. There it saw One equal with God bearing the penalty for all injustice and sin. By the offering made in our behalf we are placed on vantage-ground. The sinner, drawn by the power of Christ from the confederacy of sin, approaches the uplifted cross, and prostrates himself before it. Then there is a new creature in Christ Jesus. The sinner is cleansed and purified. A new heart is given to him. Holiness finds that it has nothing more to require. {GCB, October 1, 1899 par. 23}
The work of redemption involved consequences of which it is difficult for man to have any conception. There was to be imparted to the human being striving for conformity to the divine image an outlay of heaven's treasures, an excellency of power, which would place him higher than the angels who had not fallen. The battle has been fought, the victory won. The controversy between sin and righteousness exalted the Lord of heaven, and established before the saved human family, before the unfallen worlds, before all the host of evil workers, from the greatest to the least, God's holiness, mercy, goodness, and wisdom. Christ's sacrifice exalted the law, proving that it was from the beginning, and would be through all eternity, from everlasting to everlasting. {GCB, October 1, 1899 par. 24}
Satan, the first apostate, looked upon the fruit of his apostasy in the vast army under his banner, and his mind was made to comprehend the meaning of warfare against God and his Son. He saw how many he had by his subtlety led away from God, from happiness and holiness.

The truth of his position and his efforts to overthrow God and assume his place, when he took with him vast numbers of angels who might have been a happy family in heaven, flashed over him. Never had the arch-deceiver such an appreciation of God and his throne, his holiness, his justice, his goodness, his amazing love, as when Christ hung on the cross. Mercy and Truth had met together; Righteousness and Peace had embraced each other.
Geregtigheid en Genade het teen mekaar gestaan, in teenstelling met mekaar, geskei deur 'n diep-wye kloof. Die Here ons Verlosser het sy godheid met die menslikheid beklee en 'n karakter wat sonder enige vlek was. Dit het Hy vir die mens gedoen.
Hy het Sy kruis in die middel tussen die hemel en die aarde geplant, en so het die Kruis ‘n voorwerp geword wat hemel en aarde aantrek. Hierdie kruis het geregtigheid en genade oor die diep-wye kloof getrek.
Geregtigheid het van sy verhewe troon af beweeg en met al die leërs van die hemel die kruis genader. Daar het Geregtigheid gesien dat Een, gelyk met God alle straf, van die onregverdige sonde dra. Met volkome tevredenheid buig Geregtigheid in eerbied aan die kruis en sê: Dit is genoeg. {GCB, 1 Oktober 1899 par. 22}
Deur die offer wat namens ons geoffer is, het ons nou ‘n voordeel. Die sondaar, wat deur die krag van Christus uit die konfederasie van die sonde getrek word, nader die verhewe kruis en val voor die kruis neer. So vorm ‘n nuwe skepsel in Christus Jesus. Die sondaar word skoon gewas en gereinig. 'N Nuwe hart word aan hom gegee. Heiligheid vind dat die nuwe skepsel niks ekstra nodig het nie. {GCB, 1 Oktober 1899 par. 23}
Nou is ons weer in konneksie met God. Nou begin Sy lig weer in ons skyn. Nou is dit wat Sy Heiligheid weer na ons toe vloei. Nou is dit wat ons Heiliges word.... Nou is dit wat ons weer Sy kleed kry. Nou is dit wat ons genoem Word Heilig.. Heiligheid is nie uit onsself nie, maar God wat in ons woon... Nou kom woon die Heilige Gees in ons en ons word vernuwe
