Our Heavenly Father, our Guidance and counselor

I would like to continue with our series
“Come to the Father”
Jesus, is the only one who can introduce us to our heavenly Father completely, Jesus has the right Theology, the perfect relationship, any other concepts or opinions about God the Father, needs to be corrected by Jesus teachings.
The greatest name of God, Jesus came to reveal to us, was Daddy, Abba Father.
My prayer is, that during this series we will see our Heavenly Father, the way, Jesus sees Him.
Today we prayed for our graduates, congratulations!
Thousands around the U S are graduating this year, the big question in all of their minds is, what do I do next ? is the collage that I picked the right one for me, or is the direction that I’m going the right one?
Only our Heavenly Father knows what is the best thing for us, He will guide you if you let Him, 45 years ago I was in the same place, didn’t have a clue that this was the beginning of the rest of my life. We will always need the guidance and counsel of the Lord.
Our Heavenly Father, our Guidance and Counselor
When God sent us the Holy Spirit our Helper (Parakletos)
It was clear that He came to help us with, guidance, counsel to comfort us.
Joh 16:7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you.
Joh 16:8 And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
Joh 16:9 of sin, because they do not believe in Me;
Joh 16:10 of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more;
Joh 16:11 of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.
Let’s look over this passage, today, because it will help us to see our Heavenly Father as Jesus sees Him.
Let’s pray

1 Convict the world of sin.

Tells us the truth.
Our Heavenly Father promised us through the prophet Ezekiel to gives us His Spirit, this was around 600 years before Pentecost.
Eze 36:26 Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you, and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.
Eze 36:27 I will put my Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My ordinances and do them.
The Holy Spirit, is one with the Father and Jesus, this is the way our Heavenly father dwells in us.
Only by the Spirit of God the world will be convinced of sin, our Father is not interested to gives us a superficial understanding of sin and evil, He wants us to be convicted of sin.
He wants for you and me to know, that disobeying, God’s laws, rejecting God’s ways, there are spiritual, physical and emotional consequences, will lead us to destruction and eventually to death.
Throughout the years I have seen people from all kinds of backgrounds come to Christ, some intellectuals some simple mind people, criminals, the rich and the poor.
I believe only the Holy Spirit could convicted them of their sin and lead them to repentance.
Sin is common to all of us, we need a savior, Jesus Christ.
Our father does not let us wonder, what sin is, we may analyze it, redefine it or even refute it but does not make us righteous.
He gave us the law the 10 commandments. So we know what is right and wrong
Exodus 20
1 Thou shalt have no other gods before me
2 Thou shalt make unto thee any graven image
3 Thou shalt not take the name of The Lord Thy God in vain
4 Remember the Sabbath day to keep it Holy
5 Honor Thy Father and Thy Mother
6 Thou shalt not kill
7 Thou shalt not commit adultery
8 Thou shalt not steal
9 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor
10 Thou shalt not covet.
If you broke any of these commandments you are a sinner,
The Spirit of God convicts us of sin, how we respond to His conviction will describe our lives.
Conviction from God will lead us to repentance, not condemnation.
The Holy Spirit will remind us of everything Jesus told us
Joh 14:26 But the Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor--Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will help you remember everything that I have told you.
2 Righteousness,
we are made righteous in Jesus
Joh 16:10 of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more;
The Holy Spirit came to convince the world of Christ righteousness.
Jesus is the righteousness of God, the righteous one, who now sits at the right hand of the Father, no deceiver would go to the Father and sit at His right hand.
1Jn 2:1 My little children (believers, dear ones), I am writing you these things so that you will not sin and violate God's law. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate [who will intercede for us] with the Father: Jesus Christ the righteous [the upright, the just One, who conforms to the Father's will in every way--purpose, thought, and action].
Christ is the one who makes us acceptable to our Heavenly Father
2Co 5:21 He made Christ who knew no sin to [judicially] be sin on our behalf, so that in Him we would become the righteousness of God [that is, we would be made acceptable to Him and placed in a right relationship with Him by His gracious lovingkindness].
Because Jesus is righteous, when we welcome Him in our hearts, we welcome the righteousness of God.
The wisdom of God
1Co 1:30 But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption—
We need wisdom from heaven,
Wisdom is simply, to know the difference between good and evil, it sounds easy, but every minute we are challenged with a decision that is good or bad, and that decision will have a great impact in our lives.
Wisdom from above is pure and holy.
James 3:17
17 But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.
We know by now that good and evil can happen in a split of a second second.
I was watching the news few weeks ago when they showed this video of a man walking on this busy street and this large piece of equipment falling down into the sidewalk just missed him by inches as he continues to walk, unharmed. That was caught on camera, but how many times your Heavenly Father delivered you from harm or bless you with good things.
Our Heavenly Father will guide us if we let Him, just ask Him

3 Judgment,

evil will come to an end.
Joh 16:11 of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.
The Spirit of God will remind us that Satan has no authority, and very limited power, but Jesus has all the authority and all the power, that at the cross satan was defeated and his days are counted.
Mat 28:18 Jesus came up and said to them, "All authority (all power of absolute rule) in heaven and on earth has been given to Me.
We need to Trust Him even when we don’t understand.
If God allows us to go through something difficult, He has a purpose for it.
Jesus washing the disciples’ feet they didn’t understand why He was doing that, but he was preparing them, probably for the most difficult time of their lives, followed by the release of their ministry.
We will walk through things we do not understand.
I’m still not 100% sure of all that happen in 2020 till now, with covid and everything else.
But How we respond to it, will prepare us for what God has next.
One thing We know, He is faithful and He has our backs.
God don’t make mistakes, and the enemy has no authority to mess up God’s plan for our lives.
God is always working behind the scenes on our behalf
We can always go to Him for guidance and counsel.
Our Heavenly Father, is our guidance and counselor.
Convicting us of sin, righteousness and judgement
All this happens when we make Jesus the Lord of our lives.
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. Joh 3:16
To receive Him we need to accept Him as God’s son, repent from our sins and a life of selfishness, asking Him to be your Lord and savior , not that you deserve it, but is a gift from God.
If this is your desire today, please repeat this prayer after me?
Heavenly Father
I’m sinner,
I’m sorry for my sins,
I’m willing to turn away from my sins.
I receive Christ as my savior,
I confess Him as Lord
And from this moment on I want to follow and serve Him,
in the fellowship of His church,
In Jesus name,
Amen!
