Welcome

It’s so great to feel the atmosphere at a Section 9 Youth Rally again!

Tonight has been a long time coming. Tell somebody, “Go ahead and enjoy yourself!”

I am anticipating God’s best tonight. And we are going to see His best, for sure.

Honoring Tim and Val Butler

But we want to do something special at the outset of this service.

Since February of 2017, we have had two of the most talented, caring, and anointed people serving Section 9 as Youth Secretary - Tim and Val Butler. Can you both join us on-stage for just a moment? We want to love on you for a bit! Don’t you love the Butler’s???

When Tim was elected in 2017, it was not the first time that we had teamed up. Back in the olden days… Tim was John the Baptist and I was Nicodemus. We knew each other. We were excited to be working together. But I found out quickly the type of person Tim is.

Tim is a man of character. And he’s consistently consistent. You know who you’re dealing with.

Tim is involved. Tim is found in the altar. Tim is found at Youth Rallies.

And Tim cares. He has conversations with students, prays with students, and is sincere in his own relationship with God.

All of this has been true and WILL CONTINUE to be true. Because again, he is consistently consistent.

And through all that he does, Val is by his side. And she has stepped in and helped greatly, as well. On top of the fact that she works where we bank, I’ve noticed something about Val: she demonstrates the same love and care for people that Tim does, and she compliments him in every way.

And together, they make an over-the-top incredible team that has pushed us forward and will do even greater things together in the future

We have a gift for both of them and we want to let them know just how much we love them both for what they’ve done in Section 9 Youth - would you help me show some great appreciation right now?!

New Youth Secretary

Caleb and Abbie Adams have stepped up and are serving as our new Youth Secretary. They are so excited. They wish they could have made it tonight. But they’ve had to respond to a family emergency today, and we are praying for them.

Move The Mission

You know, it was about two years ago that I stood on this same platform at a Sheaves For Christ Rally... and at the end of service, Tim approached me with the brilliant idea that if we met a certain goal, we could shave our heads.

And, without the approval of my loving wife… I said, “Let’s go for it!” Because I had a hunger and a belief that we could get there. We both believed in the cause. We all knew that if God is going to have His Gospel moved out to the entire world, a great part of it is going to be through Apostolic young people who are responding to a calling!

And we made the commitment.

And we burst through that goal to our highest Section 9 offering: $21,047.

Last year, we - like most sections - experienced a drop during COVID-19. But God helped us to still give an awesome offering.

And I’ve got something that has risen in me this year… I believe it, I know our church believes it. I hope you do too...

I am not going to allow what’s happened in my world to lower my expectations of what God will do in my right now!!!

And that’s why we are setting the goal this year right back at the top: In 2021, God is going to help us to AGAIN raise $21,000.

In the book of Malachi, when God was speaking through the prophet concerning giving, he said:

Malachi 3:10 NKJV

10 Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this,” Says the Lord of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it.

In other words, if we will simply DO OUR PART, God is going to make our part look small compared to what He adds to it!!!

And that’s not all the scripture says...

Malachi 3:11–12 NKJV

11 “And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, So that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground, Nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field,” Says the Lord of hosts; 12 And all nations will call you blessed, For you will be a delightful land,” Says the Lord of hosts.

And, while in the book of Malachi He was speaking to a specific people in a specific time, I know that He’s a God that can rebuke the devourer today! He’s a God that can cause the nations to call us blessed today!

And He’ll do that, if He can work through some Apostolic young people WHO WILL NOT BE BOGGED DOWN OR BOUND BY THE WORLD THEY LIVE IN - BUT WILL STEP OUT IN FAITH!!!

God is looking to RELEASE some things in 2021 like we have never, ever seen before!

If you feel that anointing and that call that He is giving us to rise to the occasion today, please stand with me right now...

Tuesday night, we were here at the church, having prayer. I was praying for this service we stand in tonight. I was praying for the best things to take place…

And… I believe that I received something from God Tuesday night as I prayed. I wrote it down here. I showed it to Kierstin. And I still feel it tonight… I’m going to read it to you now.

“I ONCE SPOKE, ‘LET MY PEOPLE GO’ MANY YEARS AGO. ALTHOUGH TODAY IS SOMEWHAT DIFFERENT, I WILL SPEAK SOMEWHAT DIFFERENT: ‘RELEASE MY PEOPLE.’”

I wonder what would happen if there would be some people in this place get RELEASED on their world!

Sure, I could allow myself to be consumed by this world… but my decision is going to be to MOVE THIS MISSION so that this world will instead be consumed by what I have!!!

We need to move today!

Introduce Speaker

I’m so excited to have with us tonight some incredible people.

I didn’t know Lance and Kenzie Carmer too well until recently, we were able to connect.

But I have watched from a distance as God has used them to minister to youth in their church and in the state of Arkansas. They’ve recently stepped into the role of Assistant Pastor at CLC in Brookland. We’ve observed their faithfulness and their passion for the Kingdom of God.

And I know that he is going to bring an anointed word to us in the next few moments.

Can you help me give a Section 9 welcome to Bro. Carmer as he comes to give a word!!!
