Notes
Transcript

1. Trip to the Holy Land and my return home- I kissed the ground when we landed in Charlotte, NC.

2. A patriot is someone who loves his/her country. I have always loved my country. And, I have always felt the need to be a part of it by voting and serving in any way that I could.

3. But, to be a Christian and to be born into faith, well, that’s a whole new ballgame- being a Christian and a patriot.

4. Today is Trinity Sunday. It’s the only Sunday of the church year when we emphasize a doctrine. It’s the central mystery of the Christian faith: Father, Son and Holy Spirit!

5. And, it Memorial Day, when we honor our Veterans, living and dead, who served our country. How can we bring Christian Faith and Memorial Day together?

6. I want to offer three quick principles about how we Christians may also be patriots.
