Introduction

Greetings…
Take Time To Be Holy is a song that is familiar and a favorite to many.
It speaks of priority, focus, and determination.
The reality is time is equal to everyone and offers no favoritism.
As we go throughout our lives we must “Take Time To Be Holy.”
With that in mind let’s examine an acrostic with the word “TIME” for our lesson this today because godly pursuit of time well spent pays dividends in the end.

Take Time To Teach Truth.

We must take time to teach the truth to both the godly and ungodly.
2 Timothy 2:2 ESV
2 and what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also.
Matthew 28:19 ESV
19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
We must take time to teach them to our children.
Deuteronomy 6:4–9 ESV
4 “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. 5 You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. 6 And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. 7 You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. 8 You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. 9 You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

Take Time To Influence.

We take the time to live lives that are worthy of being imitated.
1 Corinthians 11:1 ESV
1 Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ.

Take Time To Make Memories.

In Luke 2:41-52 we read of the only account of Jesus’ childhood, outside of his birth and fleeing to Egypt.
It is here that Jesus, at the age of 12, stays behind after the Feast of the Passover, and is found by his parents in the Temple of God.
Within this scripture we find this in Luke 2:51.
Luke 2:51 ESV
51 And he went down with them and came to Nazareth and was submissive to them. And his mother treasured up all these things in her heart.
We must take time to make holy memories and treasure those things in our hearts.

Take Time To Emphasis Eternity.

Eternity is not here on this earth and as such the time we spend here on earth should focus the afterlife and where we want to spend eternity.
Colossians 3:1–4 ESV
1 If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. 3 For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.
