Jesus Heals the Leper

The Lexham Bible Dictionary (Leprosy)
An infectious skin disease
Not the characteristic of modern forms of leprosy, since OT descriptions expect the skin disease to appear and resolve relatively quickly. Whereas a modern day leprosy develops more slowly and manifests in ways different from what is described in OT.
According to Leviticus ch 13 & 14, this skin disease rendered a person “ritually unclean”. Only he priests could pronounce the ailing person “clean” once enough time had passed and certain sacrifices were made.

Jesus Heals the Centurion's Servant

A parallel account Luke 7 reveal this Roman centurion:
genuinely cared about his servant’s well-being.
entrusted the Jewish elders of Capernaum to entreat Jesus for His help.
These Jewish elders claimed the centurion (Lu 7:5):
“they begged Him earnestly”
“loves our nation”
“built a synagogue”
The striking feature here is that Jesus extends the power and blessing of the kingdom of heaven even to gentiles.

Jesus Heals Peter’s Mother-in-law

Jesus is the prophetic Messiah.

Matthew connect Jesus’ ability to heal as the fulfillment of a Messianic prophecy.
