Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me (John 15:4).

I'm afraid and it is wrong because I am afraid that You will not be able to overcome my shortcomings; that I will end up destroyed and a curse to those around me even if I surrender all to you and allow you to be my "goto" person יום יום.

Simply put, I must push through this for I think that it plays a large role in my failure to consistently press into You. If I really believed that You are salvation (אלישׁע), then I would gladly come to You.

  1. So let's get this straight. Pushing forward into oblivion has not brought results these many years and yielded only very inconsistent (to the point of uselessness) interaction with You.
  2. There is resistance to pushing into You and trusting You despite the circumstances brought on by my shortcomings.
