"Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." - 1 Thessalonians 5:18
James

16 Don’t be deceived, my dear brothers and sisters. 17 Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. 18 He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created.

God desires to give us good gifts and God is the source of our good gifts.

Roman
The New International Version (Chapter 6)
23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
The gifts of this world will lead to death
English Standard Version (Chapter 10)
10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.

Salvation isn’t just about eternity but it is also about the here and now.

The New International Version (Chapter 4)
12 Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”
romans
The New International Version (Chapter 5)
6 You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. 7 Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. 8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans
The New International Version (Chapter 10)
9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

Salvation is not something you can earn but it is something you have to accept.

"the outpouring love & support I've received has made me realize I'm more than my accomplishments and gymnastics which I never truly believed before.” - Simone Biles

The gift of salvation is not just that you are saved from hell but that you are given new life with Jesus now and forevermore.

Salvation is a gift we should point all people too!
