Psalm 25:5 NKJV
5 Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation; On You I wait all the day.
We want to be lead by the Truth of God.
Where does is it all begin. When does God begin to lead us in his truth and by his truth.
It all begins with a question?

The Question you have to ask to be led by the truth?

John 18:37–38 NKJV
37 Pilate therefore said to Him, “Are You a king then?” Jesus answered, “You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.” 38 Pilate said to Him, “What is truth?” And when he had said this, he went out again to the Jews, and said to them, “I find no fault in Him at all.”
What is Truth
Is he the King of the Jews or is he not,
is he the Christ or is he not.
Does God exist or does he not
Is the God of the Bible the one true God or is it the God of the muslims, hindus, budhist, mormons etc.
Is God one or is he not
Jesus the One true God manifest in the flesh or is he not
Is Jesus Christ the man of the dust or is he the Word made flesh
Is baptsim in Jesus name or is in another name
What is the Truth, it all begins with this question
A little bit about Jesus
He is the truth and the source of all truth
John 14:6 NKJV
6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
John 1:14 NKJV
14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
He is the fullness of truth and from him eminates all truth.
Whatever truth that is in this world, it all comes from him and leads to him
How the question “what is truth” leads to Christ
Psalm 43:3 NKJV
3 Oh, send out Your light and Your truth! Let them lead me; Let them bring me to Your holy hill And to Your tabernacle.
There is something that happens when you begin to ask yourself this question sincerly
God sends his light and truth to lead you, truth upon truth until you finaly come to him who is the source of all truth and are filled with him who is the source of all truth.
Revelation 21:3–4 NKJV
3 And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. 4 And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”
Example
When God reveals to you that he is real, you have a truth but not all the truth.
Then you have to ask your self is he the God of the Bible or is he the God of other religion, and God reveals another truth but not all of it.
Eventually God leads truth upon truth, light upon light until you come to the source of all light Christ Jesus. Until you are filled with the fullness of God.
Isaiah 28:10 NKJV
For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept, Line upon line, line upon line, Here a little, there a little.”
Proverbs 4:18 (NKJV)
18 But the path of the just is like the shining sun, That shines ever brighter unto the perfect day.
John 6:45 NKJV
45 It is written in the prophets, ‘And they shall all be taught by God.’ Therefore everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to Me.

Two things that you have to have to be led by the truth.

1. Humility

Matthew 11:25 NKJV
25 At that time Jesus answered and said, “I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and have revealed them to babes.
Truth is attracted to humility.
The Lord will always reveal truth to those who are humble. You have to admit that you did not know.
1 Corinthians 8:2 NKJV
2 And if anyone thinks that he knows anything, he knows nothing yet as he ought to know.
Philippians 3:10 NKJV
10 that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death,
The Apostle Paul realised that the more truth he knew, the more he knew that he did not know Jesus as he ought to know him.
So he kept himslef humble, as a result the Lord Jesus revealed to him truth upon truth, revelation upon revelation.
Pride can keepp you from Knowing Truth
You see when truth comes it will manifest the error in your life. if You lack humility you will reject the truth for the error.
The danger
The danger is rejecting truth based on the false confidence that you have all the truth.
The danger is when you are satisfied and belief that you have all the truth that there is to know about God and as a result become arogant and prideful. So when more truth comes you are not willing to humble yourself and accept the truth and grow in the Knowldge of Christ Jesus.
Examples the (Jews)Pharisees and the Saducees
John 1:11–12 NKJV
11 He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. 12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:
he came to them because they were in the path of truth, but they had the false confidence that they had all the truth and so when he revealed to them that he was the One God in the flesh, they rejected it.
John 5:45–47 NKJV
45 Do not think that I shall accuse you to the Father; there is one who accuses you—Moses, in whom you trust. 46 For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me; for he wrote about Me. 47 But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe My words?”
They told the blind man that they were Moses descibles and based on they rejected Jesus as a deciever
John 9:28–29 NKJV
28 Then they reviled him and said, “You are His disciple, but we are Moses’ disciples. 29 We know that God spoke to Moses; as for this fellow, we do not know where He is from.”
What happens when you reject the truth
An opposite example,
Apollos only knew the baptsim of John, and when aquila and priscila revealed to him the way more perfectly, he was humble enough to accept the truth and be obedient to it
Acts 18:24–26 NKJV
24 Now a certain Jew named Apollos, born at Alexandria, an eloquent man and mighty in the Scriptures, came to Ephesus. 25 This man had been instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in spirit, he spoke and taught accurately the things of the Lord, though he knew only the baptism of John. 26 So he began to speak boldly in the synagogue. When Aquila and Priscilla heard him, they took him aside and explained to him the way of God more accurately.
Acts 17:11–12 NKJV
11 These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so. 12 Therefore many of them believed, and also not a few of the Greeks, prominent women as well as men.

2. Willing to pay the Cost

There is a cost to the truth
Proverbs 23:23 NKJV
23 Buy the truth, and do not sell it, Also wisdom and instruction and understanding.
Matthew 13:45–46 NKJV
45 “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking beautiful pearls, 46 who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had and bought it.
Luke 14:25–33 NKJV
25 Now great multitudes went with Him. And He turned and said to them, 26 “If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple. 27 And whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple. 28 For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it 29 lest, after he has laid the foundation, and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him, 30 saying, ‘This man began to build and was not able to finish.’ 31 Or what king, going to make war against another king, does not sit down first and consider whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him who comes against him with twenty thousand? 32 Or else, while the other is still a great way off, he sends a delegation and asks conditions of peace. 33 So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple.
You have to be ready to pay the cost.
The cost cannot be compared to the value of truth.
Philippians 3:7–8 NKJV
7 But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ. 8 Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ
The cost is but dung in comparrison to the truth gained.
What is gained
Mark 9:29–30 NKJV
29 So He said to them, “This kind can come out by nothing but prayer and fasting.” 30 Then they departed from there and passed through Galilee, and He did not want anyone to know it.
Hebrews 10:32–35 (NKJV)
32 But recall the former days in which, after you were illuminated, you endured a great struggle with sufferings:
33 partly while you were made a spectacle both by reproaches and tribulations, and partly while you became companions of those who were so treated;
34 for you had compassion on me in my chains, and joyfully accepted the plundering of your goods, knowing that you have a better and an enduring possession for yourselves in heaven.
35 Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward.
Hebrews 11:24–26 NKJV
24 By faith Moses, when he became of age, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter, 25 choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin, 26 esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt; for he looked to the reward.
Moses refused to live in a lie, he refused deception and embraced the truth and chose to suffer with the people of truth because he esteemed the reproaches of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt.
Example of those who were not willing pay the cost
John 12:42–43 NKJV
42 Nevertheless even among the rulers many believed in Him, but because of the Pharisees they did not confess Him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue; 43 for they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.
They believed but they did not confess him because they were not willing pay the cost.
2 Corinthians 4:13 NKJV
13 And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, “I believed and therefore I spoke,” we also believe and therefore speak,
Jeremiah 9:3 (NKJV)
3 “And like their bow they have bent their tongues for lies. They are not valiant for the truth on the earth. For they proceed from evil to evil, And they do not know Me,” says the Lord.
Its worth the cost.
Conclusion
Let us pray that God will continue to lead us in his truth
Let us seek humility and let us pray that God will help us pay the cost that is necessary for the truth.
