So, Iron Sharpens Iron
Proverbs 27:17 Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.
· We say it a lot but, How so? Sometimes simply by your presence – just being there
o Job 3:11-13 Now when Job's three friends heard of all this evil that was come upon him, they came every one from his own place; Eliphaz the Temanite, and Bildad the Shuhite, and Zophar the Naamathite: for they had made an appointment together to come to mourn with him and to comfort him. 12 And when they lifted up their eyes afar off, and knew him not, they lifted up their voice, and wept; and they rent every one his mantle, and sprinkled dust upon their heads toward heaven. 13 So they sat down with him upon the ground seven days and seven nights, and none spake a word unto him: for they saw that his grief was very great.
§ Then Job opened his mouth and cursed his day, and it went downhill from there. His friend became critical rather than supportive.
· Before there can be a presence of God in you, there has to be a life lived in the presence of God.
· We can sharpen each other simply by being a godly presence in the absence of ________, (love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and mostly temperance) whatever is going on in someone’s life.
1 Peter 2:1-5 – lay aside… and be… (Good place to expound on each verse)
John 17:20 KJV – Christ prayed for you (past tense)
· The heart of God desires that we become one with HIM

God is watching – His Eyes are ever watching, more so that your computer search engine.

God is listening – His Ears
