Too many work all year to have a few days they spend doing what they want. Usually the of those days are recuperating from the year. They live for those few weeks. Many sacrifice peace and joy for those couple days.
Life rule - Do what I love with people I love as often as possible.
A man who chooses work He loves will never work another day.

The Joy Of The Lord Is Our Strength.

Nehemiah 8:10 NKJV
Then he said to them, “Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”
Joy gives us energy to do what others can’t.
John 15:10–11 NKJV
If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love. “These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full.

He gives us joy in what we are created for

Joy might be full
Energizing activities
Giving that blesses you - act of altruism - out of head into heart.
Activity that energizes you.
Friends that encourage you.
Experiences that rejuvenate you
Messages that build you up
Draining Activities
Negative self-talk
Complaining
Sacrificing your happiness for people who aren’t happy anyway.
Prayerlessness
Galatians 5:22–23 NKJV
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.

Our Hearts Are To Be Ruled By Peace

Colossians 3:15 NKJV
And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.

And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men,
Stay in your measure (your capacity)
Grace to do God’s will
When satan can’t make you bad, he try to make you busy.
Jesus said you'll always have the poor.
Schedule your priorities.
Commit your activities to the Lord - Prov. 16:7-9.
When a man chooses work He loves, he'll never work another day in his life.
How Do We Make Joy Our Strength
Focus upon God
Obey God
Keep an attitude of gratitude.
