But you have also famous bad art as well
And Vincent Van Gogh’s The potato Eaters is another!
As a whole even bad art is often a work of great effort time and much thought goes into the details of the work.
Whether it be the art of music, painting, drawing, sports, or writing. A person must dedicate themselves fully to the trade and work to master their talents.
Are you aware, that the Lord, our Creator, pays to the most minute details in creating all of us?
I would like to talk to you about how God created us tonight.
The title of the message is In His Image
Genesis 1:27 ESV
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.

1 We are intimately designed.

God takes great care in making us.
Genesis 2:7 ESV
then the Lord God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living creature.
He formed Adam
He breathed life into Adam
He brought Adam to life
He created Adam in his image.

2 We are designed for community.

We are designed to have fellowship with the Lord.
Genesis 3:8–11 ESV
And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden. But the Lord God called to the man and said to him, “Where are you?” And he said, “I heard the sound of you in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked, and I hid myself.” He said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten of the tree of which I commanded you not to eat?”
God created us to have fellowship with him. But he also knew we needed to have other people to be with as well.
We are designed for a spiritual community.
1 John 1:7 ESV
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.
God designed marriage.
Genesis 2:18–25 ESV
18 Then the Lord God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.” 19 Now out of the ground the Lord God had formed every beast of the field and every bird of the heavens and brought them to the man to see what he would call them. And whatever the man called every living creature, that was its name. 20 The man gave names to all livestock and to the birds of the heavens and to every beast of the field. But for Adam there was not found a helper fit for him. 21 So the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and while he slept took one of his ribs and closed up its place with flesh. 22 And the rib that the Lord God had taken from the man he made into a woman and brought her to the man. 23 Then the man said, “This at last is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.” 24 Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. 25 And the man and his wife were both naked and were not ashamed.
Not everyone will get married:
Paul:
1 Corinthians 7:7–9 ESV
I wish that all were as I myself am. But each has his own gift from God, one of one kind and one of another. To the unmarried and the widows I say that it is good for them to remain single, as I am. But if they cannot exercise self-control, they should marry. For it is better to marry than to burn with passion.
Singleness whether it be for a season, or for life, is a gift from God.
Marriage is also a gift from God.
God made it for us
God defines it as a one man with one woman period.
Sexual intercourse is to be reserved for the marriage only.
Genesis 2:24 ESV
Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.

3 We are designed intentionally.

Psalm 139:13–14 ESV
For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.
God makes us with our specific Gender
Even though the world says otherwise, God doesn’t make mistakes.
He crafted you to be the exact gender you were born.
Satan is the one that comes and says God made a mistake, or might come and whisper that hey you really are supposed to be a girl, yeah you were born a guy but you know God he makes mistakes.
God never makes mistakes!
God makes us with different skills
God has gifted each of us with skills and talents that he designed us to us to give him glory.
I can’t sing, There was plenty of times I was jealous of Alex growing up because I wanted to be able to sing and write music.
God didn’t design me that way.
God created me with a totally different set of skills.
Fact is there are people more talented than me.
But God made me specifically with his purpose in mind.
