Before you study God’s word, we have learned that we have to ask for God’s guidance (prayer).
We also need to realize that sin separates us from God, and we are sinners (we’re all separated from our creator).
Don’t start your relationship with a separation.
Confess your sins, and ask God to forgive you.
Believe His word that He will forgive and cleanse you from all unrighteousness.
Finally, God wants this relationship fixed even more then we do, He died to fix it!
