Matthew 24:14 “14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.”

Mathew 24 begins with disciples privately meeting Jesus on Mount Olives with a the agenda of the second coming of Jesus.

Mathew 24:3, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?”

in rsponse Jesus gave a number of signs, or things are must take tplace before His second Advent. among them is the preaching of the gospel. but the question is, “how would the preaching of the gospel be a sign of his second coming yet they were already preaching it?
Here christ speaks from the vantage point being privy to the details of the plan of redemption. In the plan, the preaching of the gospel is prominent. it is the means through which the light of glory will shine the dark corners of the universe.
the gospel is the good and the breaking news that in Christ Jesus man gota a way out of the trap of sin.
‘It is the good and the breaking Newsin town that, “ unto us a Child is born ...And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6).
It the good and breaking News in town that “even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved) (Ephe 2:5)
It is the good and breaking news in town that there is now no more condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
Yes the gospel is the goodnews that though “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, are now being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.” (Rom 3:23-24)
The preaching of the gospel is the announcement that the wall of partition that ever seperated man from God has been removed and now men are free to access God and boldly aproach His throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and grace in times of need ( Hebr 4:16).
Now this is the good and breaking news that God out of immeasurable love has given out his only son that whosever believes in him may not perish but have everlasting life.
and to this end Christ has come and nothing will stop heaven from achieving this divine desired outcome.
and so he assuredly say,
“And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.”
Christ here is rather communicating the imperatives of the gospel. the irreducable minimums of the gospel. It must reach thewhole world as a witness to all nations, peoples and tounges for the end to come.
In other words Jesus is saying this gospel cal is unstoppable! this Gospel call is Unbowed. this gospel is unboagable. it will go to the mountains and to the valleys. it will penetrate the prisons and the palaces. yes the gospel has the Wings to Fly!

Acts 1:8 “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

The emergency council that conveened in heaven to institute the plan of redemption voted the holyspirit to be the means through will the gospel will ride.
this statement of Jesus is in response to the question made by his disciples. “Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?”
the disciples inquiry shows that even to the very end of His ministry on earth hiw followers understood im not. His statement earlier to Peter, “For you do not have in mind the things of God, but the things of men” (Mathew 16:23), was not just for peter but forall disciples. for the three andhalf years they followed Jesus they did not understand His mission.
even after His resurrection they were still waiting for his eartly kingdom.
The New King James Version (Chapter 1)
saying, “Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” 7 And He said to them, i“It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority. 8 But you shall receive power lwhen the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and myou shall be 3witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and nSamaria, and to the oend of the earth.”
You Shall Recieve Power.
This power is the power of God Himself.
Luke 1:35
The angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; and for that reason the holy Child shall be called the Son of God
But…Dont worry, the Holy spirit when hecomes He will lead you to understand.
The Holy spirit brings power to decern God’s purposes.
He will make you witness
He will give you power to prevail.
you are sking for an eartly power but He will give you the heavnly power.
once the early disciples experienced the coming of God’s Spirit into their being, they never again asked about earthly power
The Acts of the Apostles (King James Version) (B. Jesus’ Last Day on Earth, 1:6–11)
once God’s Spirit truly dwells within a person, that person is supremely fulfilled and satisfied. Nothing else can ever satisfy—not position or authority, recognition or fame—not if the person has truly received the Spirit of God into his heart and life.
The Acts of the Apostles (King James Version) (B. Jesus’ Last Day on Earth, 1:6–11)
The word “witness”: this is not a command. Rather, it is a natural result of the Holy Spirit within a person.
Zechariah 4:6-7
Then he said to me, “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel saying, ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the Lord of hosts. ‘What are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you will become a plain; and he will bring forth the top stone with shouts of “Grace, grace to it!”’

1. The Holy Spirit keeps us in contact with God

“ And by this we know that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us” (I John 3:24).

2. The Holy Spirit guides us to the truth

John 16:13 “13 However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.”

3. The Holy Spirit convicts us of sin

“And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment” (John 16:8).
4. The Holy Spirit helps us understand deeper the Word of God
I Corinthians 2:10-12
“But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the DEEP things of God… Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, THAT WE MIGHT KNOW THE THINGS that have been freely given to us by God”
6. The Holy Spirit imparts spiritual gifts
I Corinthians 12:4-12
“There are diversities of GIFTS, but the same Spirit…. But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills”
The Acts of Holy Spirit in the Ministry of Jesus
Acts 10:38
You know of Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.
Luke 4:14
And Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit, and news about Him spread through all the surrounding district.
Acts of the Holy Spirit in Appostles
Acts 4:31.
“And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.”
The holy spirit appoints those to go for the mission
Acts 13:2
“ While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”
He directs the mission of the church
The Holy Spirit directed the mission of the Church, frequently giving specific guidance about where to go and whom to address
ACTS 13:4
“4 So, being sent out by the Holy Spirit, they went down to Seleucia, and from there they sailed to Cyprus.”
He is the seal of God
13 And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, 14 who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory.
Today, the Spirit remains an eternal, ever-present helper to the people of God. HE is the power unto salvation.
with His presence in the church, the church will triumph.
Isaiah 54:17 “17 No weapon formed against the church shall prosper,.”
Matthew 16:18 “and speaks to us all through Peter, “and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.”

Acts of Apostle by White, 50

“The lapse of time has wrought no change in Christ's parting promise to send the Holy Spirit as His representative. It is not because of any restriction on the part of God that the riches of His grace do not flow earthward to men. If the fulfillment of the promise is not seen as it might be, it is because the promise is not appreciated as it should be. If all were willing, all would be filled with the Spirit.”
