Matthew 24:14 “14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.”

Paul is arguably the greatest preacher of the New Testament. He had many mission journies of his time than any aother apostle. Almost half of the New Testament epistles and books are Pauline. No one has discussed the subject of salvation by faith like Paul. He is the champion of Justification by grace and sanctification by faith.
Of the miracles of the apostolic age Paul is the man. The question is what did Paul know that many other apostles did not know? what was the secret of Paul’s preaching ministry?

1 Corinthians 2:1-2

“1 And I, brethren, when I came to you, did not come with excellence of speech or of wisdom declaring to you the testimony of God. 2 For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.”

the Corinthian church was deeply divided. Two of the issues dividing it were a dispute over what kind of preacher should fill their pulpit, and which former minister had contributed the most to their church.

1 Corinthians 1:11-13 “11 For it has been declared to me concerning you, my brethren, by those of Chloe’s household, that there are contentions among you. 12 Now I say this, that each of you says, “I am of Paul,” or “I am of Apollos,” or “I am of Cephas,” or “I am of Christ.” 13 Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul?
the Corinthian church needed to really know who aught to occupy their pulpit. They needed to know what aught to be preached.
Paul having noticed this confusion in church, he saught to address it.
in 1 Corinthians 2:1-2 Paul answer this question.
“1 And I, brethren, when I came to you, did not come with excellence of speech or of wisdom declaring to you the testimony of God. 2 For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.”
Sound preaching is not eloquence. The Greek word (huperoche) actually means superiority, elevation, preeminence, rising above. Paul did not seek to be exhalted.
The First & Second Epistle of Paul the Apostle to the Corinthians (King James Version) (D. Answer Three: Sound Preaching, 2:1–5)
Sound preaching is not human wisdom or philosophy.-

This is the reason Paul did not preach human philosophy or worldly wisdom. When Paul preached, he was not concerned with sounding like a philosopher or some deep thinker or some preacher and theologian with a new and novel idea or position.

Preaching is not sound advice or motivational speaking. preaching is not an entertainment platform, or a ground for intellectual display. It is the privilege of lifting the souls of men to glory.
1 Corinthians2:2
“For I determined not to know anything among you aexcept Jesus Christ and Him crucified.”
I determined-Greek word ekrina means to have decided, to have made a decison. This word is a judicial word: to judge, to pass judgement based on evidence.
Paul auritatively says, “the evidence i have concerning the matter salvation of souls is sufficient enough to make this judgement ; that nothing can be presented to a soul for salvation than “Christ and Him crucified.”
Elsewhere Romans 1:16
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.”
Paul equits the gospel to the crucified savior. in other words when i am preaching Christ and Him crucified, am preaching the gospel. if am preaching not christ and him crucified then am preaching no gospel. The gospel is the message of Christ and Him crucified!
This is the message of justification by faith.
Ellen White: Christ Our Righteousness 65.1
Justification by faith is God’s way of changing weak, sinful, defeated men and women into strong, righteous, victorious Christians.” ...In all this we have the facts of justification by faith. The message is the gospel of salvation from sin, condemnation, and death.”
This message is the most urgent of our time. The end time gospel campaign caried out by the three angels of Revelation 14, famously “The Three Angels Message” is nothing but the message of justification by faith. Crhrist and Him crucified.
The Review and Herald, April 1, 1890.
“Several have written to me, inquiring if the message of justification by faith is the third angel’s message, and I have answered, ‘It is the third angel’s message in verity.’”-
Until its the Gospel!
Paul says i resolved, i determined to know nothing but Christ and Him crucified.
WHY?
The First & Second Epistle of Paul the Apostle to the Corinthians (King James Version) (D. Answer Three: Sound Preaching, 2:1–5)
1. It is by the death of Jesus Christ that we are cleansed and freed from all sin.
(Mt. 26:28 “For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins”
Hebrews 9:26 “26 He then would have had to suffer often since the foundation of the world; but now, once at the end of the ages, He has appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself.”
2. It is by the death of Jesus Christ that we are accepted and reconciled to God and have peace with God.
Ep. 1:7 “7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace”
3. It is by the death of Jesus Christ that we are justified.
Ro. 5:9 “9 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.”
Col. 1:14 “14 in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.”
4. It is by the death of Jesus Christ that we are delivered from the judgment and wrath to come.
1 Th.5:9-10 “9 For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, 10 who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him.”
5. It is by the death of Jesus Christ that we are delivered from this present evil (corruptible and dying) world.
Gal.1:4 “4 who gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father,”
6. It is by the death of Jesus Christ that we are healed.
Isaiah 53:5 “5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.”
Unless it is the Gospel! I will not go.
unless it is the gospel, we should not go.
unless it is the gospel, they have no one to believe in. unless it is the gospel, the blind will not see,
Unless it ist the gospel, the lame will not walk,
unless it is the gospel the deaf will not hear.
Unless it is the gospel, the prositute will be stoned.
unless it is the gospel, Nichodemus will never be accepted.
unless it the gospel, the prison gates will never open, unless it is the gospel, the storms will never cease.
unless it is the gospel, lazarus will never ressurect.
Unless it is the gospel, the prodigal sons will never come back home!
Unless is the gospel, the tomb will not open.
Unless is the gospel, the spirit will not descend
Preach the gopsel. Preach Him and Him crucified.
