Intro: Welcome my Friends
BIBLE TEXT: James 1:16-18 “Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning. Of His own will He brought us forth by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures.”

Have you ever thought that God doesn’t care about you?
Don’t be misled
God loves you…but He will never Temp you into evil
You are never alone
Temptation often comes not at our strongest, but our weakest moments.
Jesus’ temptation began after 40 days of fasting.People usually are more impressed when they see us act under pressure. One weak act may spoil a whole lifetime of witness.
Cross Reference: Psalm 5:2 “Give heed to the voice of my cry, My King and my God, For to You I will pray.”
!st Point: Don’t make decisions without praying
One Application:
Leave big decision making till the morning when you are freshly rested and prayed up!
Personal Story: I always had a problem paying for all of my friends food and outings> I remember going bowling with my wife and our friends. She told me don’t bring your wallet

Read His word Daily and it will be a lamp unto your feet. This will help keep you from being deceived
