Tell background. There have been debates over many years on who wrot the book of Hebrews. Some say it was Paul because of the time it was written, but others say it is not like his style of writing however, we do know it was written by one of Jesus beleivers who understood the character of Christ and how we should live for him, serve others and love one another.
There are three things in this scipture we must take A Tight Grip on , and it must come with a sincere heart and genuiune devotion rather hypocrisy.
First, we must have ful assurance of our faith. In the scripture it says to have full beleif and be confident that we are presentable inside and out. In the book of Psalm David ask the Lord to give him a clean heart so that he may follow after his will and be pure in his sight by repentanc. Keep a tight grip because God has provided us with full access to him and his presence thourgh his son if we allow him to do so.
Second, we need to keepa tight grip to our hope that we profess. We must be unswervingly and stand strong in all things that God destined us to go through in life. James 1:6 “Ask boldly, believingly, without a second thought. People who “worry their prayers” are like wind-whipped waves.” When we are unswervingly that means we stand straight up not leaning but holding firm. How does one do this, well it is by laying hold the Christ and never let go. You got to have a tight grip and have no fear in what is taking place in your life and have the hope that Jesus will carry you through if you do not let go of his Word. Jesus promised that he would take care of us each and every day if we keep his Word. This is what give us the strength and stamina. His steadfast love is greater that what you can ever give.
This leads me to my last text. The inventive way of encuragaging love and helping out. We need to spur on each other towards love and good deeds. Jesus was all about showing and giving love to one another even if you do know know the person. Jesus has many that he showed love to that he did not know, some are the Samaritan Woman, the demonic man, the woman with this issue of blood, Lazerus and have Mary and Martha in his heart to help them out in love, his hesic love.
We must take a tight grip on not avoiding worship together as some do as the the scripture says but by spurring each other on, expecially as we see the big Day approaching. It is time out saying we are not worshiping together because we are not in the church. The church does not make the worship, you make the worship where you are. Do not forsake the gatherig of the poeple no matter how it now looks.
Do not spur people towards bad works, we are to be the encourager of the Word and push people to do good works and lead others to a practicle expression of love and attract that love and display no type selfishness. We have to be saints of unselfishness in our works and deeds and show the love of God. Get a tight grip on Jesus because there is a time approaching in your day that you are going to need his strength and everyone is watching to see how your faith, hope and assurance in God is going to stand. Do you stop doing what God has called you to do, don’t you give up on what he has ordained you to.
The closer change comes the more the energy of Jesus you should have and a tghter grip you will need to push forward and to push others forward toward that big day. That Big Day in the word is speaking of the return of Jesus to get his brde, but I can also see thiis Big Day being a change in your life rather it be good or bad. Rather it be God inlaging your territory or carrying you through a dark time in your life. Get a tight grip St. James, chuch of the most high God. Pull together and do the work that God has called you to do and what him enlarge your territory if you are ready for that increase in your life the church.
The scriptures say today, (read againg).
