Promises of God – His Love
For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.” 1 Corinthians 1:20.
1. Isaiah 54:10 For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the LORD that hath mercy on thee.
a. Having been obedient even unto death, the vale rent in two, Jesus said, “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:27.
2. Jeremiah 31:3-4a The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee. 4 Again I will build thee, and thou shalt be built, O virgin of Israel:
a. He is the God that restores and reconciles.
i. Joel 2:25 And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you. God is even willing to restore that which our own sin has caused us to lose.
ii. Psalms 23:3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. My soul, His righteousness, Christ name.
iii. Psalms 51:12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit. The depth of His love.
3. Matthew 10:30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
a. What does that even mean? You have to think about that to even begin to understand how it applies to His love.
i. It’s just a picture of how much He really loves you.
4. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
a. The condemnation is in the unbelief.
5. 1 John 4:9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
