Promises of God – His Salvation
For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.” 1 Corinthians 1:20.
1. Psalm 37:39-40 But the salvation of the righteous is of the LORD: he is their strength in the time of trouble. 40 And the LORD shall help them and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him.
a. But the salvation of the righteous is of the LORD:
i. John 6:65 Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father. It is of the LORD.
b. He is their strength in the time of trouble.
c. And the LORD shall help them and deliver them:
d. He shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, (This is the promise of God)
i. Satan is the wicked one and indeed wickedness itself.
e. Because they trust in him.
i. To be saved is an act of deliverance or salvation. It happens because we trust in Him.
ii. For by grace are ye save, through faith
2. Isaiah 25:9 And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the LORD; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.
a. “In that day” refers to the Second Coming of Christ. We He comes He comes to deliver His own.
b. This is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: Take ownership! Claim you God.
i. Matthew 10:33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.
ii. Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
c. This is the LORD; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.
i. He is God and He is Lord. He is our God and He is our Lord.
3. Matthew 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
a. The very reason He came in the first place.
i. Luke 19:10 For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.
b. He accomplished this through obedience to God, by death on the cross
i. Philippians 2:8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
4. Acts 16:31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
a. As mentioned before, And the LORD shall help them and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him. Psalm 37:40.
b. It’s all based upon our belief in the Son of God.
i. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Ephesians 2:8.
5. Hebrews 7:25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.
a. Jesus Christ is our High Priest who has no successor.
b. Sealed by His Spirit – In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise. Eph. 1:13.
God would not have sacrificed His only Begotten if He were not going to keep His promises. “God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?” Numbers 23:19.
For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.” 1 Corinthians 1:20.
God’s promise is, whosoever will may come: Revelation 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
Do you know HIM? Have you claimed God’s promise of salvation? I trust that you have.
