12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.

God is reassuring when it comes to Security.

The security of Israel was guaranteed by God.

Their security was found in God himself

Deuteronomy 33:27 KJV 1900
27 The eternal God is thy refuge, And underneath are the everlasting arms: And he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; And shall say, Destroy them.
See also Dt 33:26; Dt 33:28–29; Ezr 8:21–23; Je 31:10–11

They were secure from danger and loss

Isaiah 54:17 KJV 1900

See also Eze 34:27–28

Their security was conditional upon obedience

Exodus 19:5 KJV 1900
5 Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine:
See also Dt 28:1–6; Dt 28:15–19

The security of believers is guaranteed by God

By the everlasting covenant

2 Samuel 23:5 KJV 1900
5 Although my house be not so with God; Yet he hath made with me an everlasting covenant, Ordered in all things, and sure: For this is all my salvation, and all my desire, Although he make it not to grow.

In spiritual security in Jesus Christ

John 10:28–29 KJV 1900

See also Jn 17:12; Jn 17:15; Ro 8:35–39; Php 1:6; Heb 7:25

In the provision of needs

In a sure hope

1 Peter 1:3–5 KJV 1900
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, 5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
2 Timothy 1:12 KJV 1900
12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.
See also Job 19:25–27; Heb 6:19; 1 Pe 1:3–5

In prophecies of security

Isaiah 11:6–9 KJV 1900
6 The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, And the leopard shall lie down with the kid; And the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; And a little child shall lead them. 7 And the cow and the bear shall feed; Their young ones shall lie down together: And the lion shall eat straw like the ox. 8 And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, And the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice’ den. 9 They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: For the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord, As the waters cover the sea.
