The first two beatitudes are inward, our look towards are sin.
These next two, we are talking about tonight, deal with outwardness and how we interact with the world.
“Blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth.”
Matthew 5:5 ESV
“Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.
Meek = the gentle, cool-headed, quiet, submissive.
meek is not weak!
It is strong and steady in the midst of tragedy.
it’s a strength in the kingdom of God.
Psalm 37:5–8 ESV
Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act. He will bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday. Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way, over the man who carries out evil devices! Refrain from anger, and forsake wrath! Fret not yourself; it tends only to evil.
When we are meek, we are commited, we trust, and wait patiently for God.
Everything we do, have, all of our relationships, dreams and goals, are all committed to the Lord.

We trust in Him. Even when it doesn’t look good, face oppostion, we trust that His plan is good.
Wait patiently that Him. Don’t try to take it in our own hands, “fret not yourself”.
Do not become angry.
If we surrender our life to God, then He blesses us with the promise of inheriting the earth. Yes, we may lose stuff on this earth, but what He has is far greater!
Being meek, leads to hunger and thirst for righteousness.
Matthew 5:6 ESV
“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.
When we commit our ways to God we want to be right with Him.
Guru and the Business man.
This is the hunger and thirst we are talking about. When we are sold out, that is the thing we want, and guess what we will be satisfied!
The woman at the well, kept going there day after day after day, we go to the same stuff day after day, just to be satisfied with life, just to be happy, but students, thats not where we find our happiness, our happiness comes from the Lord, the maker and creator of heaven and earth! You drink once from the well of Jesus and you will not go thirsty!
