Recap of Previous Sermon:

We Are Saved by Grace Alone Through Faith Alone, In Christ Alone, According to Scripture Alone, For the Glory of God Alone.

Introduction of the Text:
Reading of the Text:
2 Timothy 3:14-17 14 But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it 15 and how from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 16 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.

Reading of the Texts:
Romans 11:36 “36 For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen.”
Romans 16:25-27 “25 Now to him who is able to strengthen you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery that was kept secret for long ages 26 but has now been disclosed and through the prophetic writings has been made known to all nations, according to the command of the eternal God, to bring about the obedience of faith— 27 to the only wise God be glory forevermore through Jesus Christ! Amen.”
Ephesians 3:21 “21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”
Philippians 4:20 “20 To our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.”
1 Timothy 1:17 “17 To the King of the ages, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.”
2 Timothy 4:18 “18 The Lord will rescue me from every evil deed and bring me safely into his heavenly kingdom. To him be the glory forever and ever. Amen.”
Hebrews 13:20-21 “20 Now may the God of peace who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant, 21 equip you with everything good that you may do his will, working in us that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.”
1 Peter 4:11 “11 whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.”
1 Peter 5:11 “11 To him be the dominion forever and ever. Amen.”
2 Peter 3:18 “18 But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.”
Jude 24-25 “24 Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy, 25 to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.”
Revelation 1:5-6 “5 and from Jesus Christ the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of kings on earth. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood 6 and made us a kingdom, priests to his God and Father, to him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.”
Revelation 5:13 “13 And I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, saying, “To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever!””
Explanation: God deserves all glory.
Argumentation:
The question is not, “Does God deserve glory?” Of course God deserves glory. But how much glory does He deserve? Does He deserve all glory or only some? When it comes to salvation, does God deserve all the glory for our salvation or do we share in the glory? The debate is over the term “Alone.” All Christians would agree that God deserves glory. Our distinctive is that God alone deserves the glory. Why?
Salvation is entirely the work of God. Therefore He alone deserves the glory.
Revelation: 4:9-11 “9 And whenever the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to him who is seated on the throne, who lives forever and ever, 10 the twenty-four elders fall down before him who is seated on the throne and worship him who lives forever and ever. They cast their crowns before the throne, saying, 11 “Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created.””
Application:
