Matthew 9:9

"follow me" occurs 25 times in the Bible To answer the question will you follow Jesus, here are three diagnostic QUESTIONS that will answer it for you:

I. Will You Follow His Word?

We followed Him in Conversion.
Matthew 9:9 ¶ And as Jesus passed forth from thence, he saw a man, named Matthew, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he saith unto him, Follow me. And he arose, and followed him.
We follow Him Constantly.
John 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
We follow Him Completely.
Matthew 16:24 ¶ Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

II. Will You Follow His Will?

God's will is winning souls.
Genesis 24:5 (1st mention) And the servant said unto him, Peradventure the woman will not be willing to follow me unto this land: must I needs bring thy son again unto the land from whence thou camest? Matthew 4:19 And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.
God's Will is giving up fame and fortune.
Matthew 19:21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.
God's Will is following Him knowing how it ends.
John 21:19 This spake he, signifying by what death he should glorify God. And when he had spoken this, he saith unto him, Follow me.

III. Will You Follow His Way?

God has you followed.

God has your future.

God has your funeral set.
Numbers 20:23–29
23 And the Lord spake unto Moses and Aaron in mount Hor, by the coast of the land of Edom, saying,
24 Aaron shall be gathered unto his people: for he shall not enter into the land which I have given unto the children of Israel, because ye rebelled against my word at the water of Meribah.
25 Take Aaron and Eleazar his son, and bring them up unto mount Hor:
26 And strip Aaron of his garments, and put them upon Eleazar his son: and Aaron shall be gathered unto his people, and shall die there.
27 And Moses did as the Lord commanded: and they went up into mount Hor in the sight of all the congregation.
28 And Moses stripped Aaron of his garments, and put them upon Eleazar his son; and Aaron died there in the top of the mount: and Moses and Eleazar came down from the mount.
29 And when all the congregation saw that Aaron was dead, they mourned for Aaron thirty days, even all the house of Israel.
