WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE TO BE A DISCIPLE MAKERS?
When we talk about wholly devoted followers of Jesus, Life long surrender and obedience, Disciples who make disciples we personally mean:
I want my life to be about loving God, loving people, and is serious about making disciples.
Wholly Devoted Followers of Jesus are Trail Blazers whose lives point to Jesus.
Wholly Devoted Followers of Jesus are Trail Blazers whose lives point to Jesus.
the way the truth and the life.
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
This is what it means to fully surrender to Jesus Christ.
When people look at the last trails of your life, they see the story of loving God, loving people, and making disciples. Our lives point to Jesus!
When they look at your last 20 posts of social media, they would see more about your love for Jesus and people than they would your politics.
When they look at your last purchase… what does it point to?
When they look at your calendar… what does it point to?
IT’S MORE THAN JUST ABOUT ME!

What would it be like if we embrace surrender, obedience, and disciple making to the point that we embodied… surrender, obedience, and disciple making. Our lives are the blazes that lead others to the WAY, THE TRUTH, AND LIFE!

DISCIPLE MAKING DISCIPLES.. NOT A CLASS...
Disciple Making is life long journey of unconditional surrender of ME for the sake of Others!

CONFESSION AND REPENTANCE.
FORMATION… IN ALL OF OUR ENVIRONMENTS WE WANT KNOWLEDGE OF GOD AND SELF ARE IN RELATIONSHIP WITH OTHERS.
God has deemed it as wise to weave us together..
WHOLLY DEVOTED FOLLOWERS ARE PASSIONATE ABOUT: HELPING PEOPLE BECOME WHOLLY DEVOTED FOLLOWERS OF JESUS.
WHOLLY DEVOTED FOLLOWERS ARE PASSIONATE ABOUT: HELPING PEOPLE BECOME WHOLLY DEVOTED FOLLOWERS OF JESUS.
WHOLLY DEVOTED FOLLOWERS OF JESUS OBEDIENTLY MOVE INTO THEIR HOMES, NEIGHBORHOODS, AND INTO THE NATIONS TO MAKE DISCIPLES.
Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them. And when they saw him they worshiped him, but some doubted. And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

MIXTURE OF FAITH AND DOUBT. Dispute all we have seen… there is some doubt there.
Martin Luther would say, “Faith is the wrestle with doubt”
In the moment it is unbelievable…
Where the smidge of doubt remains… Jesus moves close.

What does it look like to obey this command?

ONE OF THE EASIEST DRIFTS IN AMERICAN EVANGELICALISM IS TO BELIEVING KNOWING MORE INFORMATION AND MANAGING BEHAVIOR IS WHAT CHRISTIANITY IS ALL ABOUT… WANTING TO WALK IN HOLINESS IS GOOD!!! BUT IT’S NOT JESUS WHOLE COMMAND.
