THE BEAST

The Anti-Christ. The political dictator of the world.

THE FALSE PROPHET

The religious dictator of the world the “PR” Person for the Beast.

Introduction

Last week we discussed the beast from the sea

there have been many claims as to who he will be

some claim Hitler, others the Pope, and some churches believe that Barack Obama is the antichrist. If you learn who is the Antichrist, According to Revelation, you missed the Rapture!

Remember John saw a beast rise up out of the sea (Mediterranean Sea). This is clearly symbolic as the sea represents humanity, 17:15 and he said to me, the waters which thou sauce, were the, are peoples and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.

The great harlot, or apostate church, will rise from the masses of humanity just like the beast.

Jesus came from the womb of God’s chosen people. The antichrist will come from the womb of sinful, rebellious men.

As we begin this morning, I want to remind you that Satan is a master deceiver. He has the ability to counterfeit the actions of God. In these days of Tribulation, Satan will produce a counterfeit of the Holy Trinity.

1. The Dragon - Satan 2. Antichrist, and 3. The final member of the “Counterfeit Holy Trinity” is the False Prophet.

Let us begin this morning with …

I. The Beast From The Earth

Revelation 13:11 (NKJV)

11 Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon.

John saw a second beast (the False Prophet). The first beast will come out of the sea*, but this beast will come from the earth*.

The sea is a symbol of the masses of humanity, while the earth is a symbol of the land of Israel.

It is important to remember that the focus of the world will be mainly upon two places during the Tribulation.

One pivotal location point will be the revived Roman Empire (see Revelation 6; 17; 18) with its one-world government.

The other will be the land of Israel with its Jewish religion, temple, 144,000 sealed Jews, and two witnesses.

The first beast will have ten horns. The second will have two. Lambs do not have horns, so except for his two horns, the second beast will look like a lamb.

This suggests that he will try to imitate the Lamb of God*, but he will be a wolf in sheep’s clothing.

The first beast will get his power from the dragon.

The second will speak like a dragon. He will do a lot of talking about loving, accepting, diversity, gender equality, etc.

He will condemn racism, sexism, poverty, and all forms of discrimination. Underneath, though, he will be a slithering monster.

Last Days False Prophets

Will Deceive Many

Matthew 24:11 NKJV

11 Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many.

Will Show Great Signs and wonders

Matthew 24:24 NKJV

24 For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.

Will Twist Bible Teachings, Misquote the bible and deny Jesus

2 Peter 2:1 NKJV

1 But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction.

Thomas Ice and Timothy Demy - The Antichrist and the False Prophet are two separate individuals who will work toward a common, deceptive goal. Their roles and relationship will be that which was common in the ancient world between a ruler (Antichrist) and the high priest (False Prophet) of the national religion (religion often facilitates political rule).
