Prayer

"Each of you must give as you have made up your mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver." (2 Corinthians 9:7)

"My point is this: the one who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the one who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully." (2 Corinthians 9:6)

"Bless the LORD, O my soul, and do not forget all his benefits." (Psalm 103:2)

"Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven." (Matthew 5:16)

(Jesus said,) 'Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me.' (Matthew 25:40)

PRAYER

        O God, we live in a world that teaches "do your own thing" and "have it your way," Teach us, instead, the wisdom of "Have Your own way" and "We give You but Your own." ..... In this offering, may we be making the subtle shift from our way to your way, from the slavery of selfishness to the freedom of faithfulness. Help us to apply this not only to our money, but also to our brothers & sisters in Christ. Nurture our present level of faith, and challenge us to greater trust. Through him who is our Alpha & Omega, our beginning and our end, In Jesus Christ name we pray. Amen.
