Content: We are to glorify God

Context: Prayer for the growth of the saints, for the purpose of God being glorified.

The Peace to the church Eph 1:1-2 “1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, To the saints who are in Ephesus, and are faithful in Christ Jesus: 2 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.”

The Predestination of the church Eph 1:4-5 “4 even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him.

In love 5 he predestined us for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will,”

The Praise of the church Eph 1:12 “12 so that we who were the first to hope in Christ might be to the praise of his glory.”

The Promise to the church Eph 1:13 “13 In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit,”

The Purchase of the church Eph 2:8 “8 For by grace you have been saved through faith.

And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God,”

The Problem in the church Eph 2:12 “12 remember that you were at that time separated from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.”

The Proclamation of the church Eph 2:17 “17 And he came and preached peace to you who were far off and peace to those who were near.”

The People of the church Eph 3:6 “6 This mystery is that the Gentiles are fellow heirs, members of the same body, and partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel.”

The Prayer over the church Eph 3:14 “14 For this reason I bow my knees before the Father,”

The most important thing in all the world is that God be glorified.

God must be glorified in the church.

In the WORSHIP of the church.

In the SANCTIFICATION of the church.

In the MISSION of the church.

God must be glorified in Christ Jesus.

In the PERFECT LIFE of Christ Jesus.

In the ATONING DEATH of Christ Jesus.

In the PROMISED RESURRECTION of Christ Jesus.

In the SECOND COMING of Christ Jesus.

We are in the last days:

There is a coming Last Day:

There is the day of eternity:

KJV says “…now and for ever,” NASB and ESV say, “the day of eternity.”

God must be glorified in every generation.

I am fully convinced that our church must begin to focus on and encourage family worship.
