Romans 14:9 - For this very reason, Christ died and returned to life so that he might be the Lord of both the dead and the living.

you know this is one of those scriptures you must look into deeper than what you normally would see it as. Much like other scriptures we can read it and keep passing it, but when was the last time we stopped to think about the living and dead.
Living is defined as alive - very simply said but we know you can be alive and dead spiritually. But we also know you can be dead physically but alive in Christ than ever!
Why is this important? This is one extreme to the other with life or death as the topic of this verse. Jesus showed that His divine nature goes beyond any realm we can reach, see we can never be both alive and dead, where Jesus is the Lord of Lords, Heaven and on Earth.
But what about all the time in the middle? If a person is living for 72 years, that is 26,280 days, with 1352 Sundays. That is 5% of your life that attended “church” if you went every Sunday and never missed. 5% doesn’t seem that much, when our life is said to be dedicated to God 100% in our worst and in our best.
I want to talk about three situations: The spectator, The one on the bench, and the one with Ring Rust

2 Corinthians 9-6-8 Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.

It is often our biggest gains of victory or our worst push in defeat that happens, it is during the week Monday thru Sat that we often get our toughest challenges.
So how do we do this? Is there a game plan? Is it more than just saying a few prayers and doing a fast, maybe reading a couple verses a day?
YES! Its our everyday actions we battle, Eph 6 talks about putting on the full armour of God. When you hear the armour pieces, Helmet of salvation, breastplate of righteousness, belt of truth, shoes of the gospel, shield of faith, and sword of the spirit. When this gear is put on correctly, your entire body is protected.
But you will never hear anyone ever say put this gear on because its Sunday. This was a daily routine, as Paul said he would die daily to himself in 1 Cor 15:31.
Life is one door that is opened to us, and it is not closed by death to a believer, but another door is opened. But what we are talking about is the in between areas that makes you want to take the next step to the door. What side tracks us on our way to the door. What blinds us from seeing the next door.

The One On The Bench!

I will say pray! Do your long prayers, but even in between them, talk with God out loud, in your head, in your spirit.

Read your bible verses, if possible read on themes! so the next time on your youversion bible app, click the picture that sends you to verse and read that section. Not throwing no stones or pushing anyone under a bus, but its literally the time of checking some IG post, Facebook time, twitter time, PS or Xbox time. What takes you the time to do an app update is the same amount of time you could be reading the context of the verse.
Fast....This is something that is purely personal. But I will start of by saying this, if it isn’t a sacrifice than its not a fast. Not eating because it will help you lose weight is not a fast, not eating the tempting foods and only eating fruits and veggies only is a sacrifice especially for meatatatians lol.
Fasting from TV, internet stuff, games are all sacrifice if the thing you are sacrificing brings you out of a fleshly pleasure and into a Godly realm.

Ring Rust

It does not matter how far along you are, it is never to late to get back into the game. You are never so far out, that the grace of God is still in arms reach.
So what are some tips and tricks you do to help yourself stay on track?
Staying in the game in our spiritual life is not a corporate thing, its not a body of Christ thing, Its a me, its a you, its a us thing.
Sundays is a fulfillment day, after church until your next time, is the taking action days and moments.

Does anyone need a prayer?
