Knowing that we (humans) have a problem and accepting Jesus as our savior is only the first step.
The Lord’s true purpose for us only starts to come alive when we focus on building His Kingdom… but how do we do that?
We need help

Genesis 2:18 (ESV)
Then the Lord God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.”
I have been reading in the English Standard Version, but in the Joel Garcia Version it states:
Genesis 2:18 (JGV)
Then the Lord God said, “It is not good that the human should be alone; I will provide them a helper fit for them.”
Side Note
The word “Helper” is used to refer to only two people.
The Woman
The Lord (OT) / Holy Spirit (NT)
In the same way man was given a helper through Eve to not feel alone, all humans were given the Holy Spirit to be our helper so that we would not be alone after Jesus returned to heaven.
But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.
What does the Holy Spirit do?
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
Allow you to more closely commune with the Lord. (Tongues)
Teaches you of the things of Jesus.
Give you power to put that knowledge into practice. (Sanctification / Fruits of the Spirit)

We have work to do
We were not saved by Jesus to just reap His blessings or realize our goals in life with His help. Our real purpose is to expand the Kingdom of God.
The church is the new nation of God meant to represent Him to all the other nations.
we all join together to do His work (ministry)
Our ministry is to love God and love others. (both as a church and as individuals)
“Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.”

Worry about what God wants and He will worry about what you need.
