Is the Advent season of it again?

Was in one of the songs, we sang, anybody catch the weird happened in there is in the first song that we signed at first him.

Two and a half inches.

Just a fancy word that we never used a Day speech.

Just means is coming.

He's coming here to Earth and this season, we called the Advent season celebrating Christ coming to Earth and this is our second Sunday.

As we celebrate the event were looking at different themes.

Themes, that really should be a part of our everyday lives as Believers.

And this time of year.

Is this a good time to remind us of those things course.

Last week.

We're looking at Hope and we saw with the angel appearing to Zechariah the desperate times that he lived in his ruling over Israel.

The priesthood being corrupt, peoples, whose Hearts were far from the Lord, though.

They were in the temple singing, the phrase is going through the rituals.

Their hearts are far from him and Zachariah is a priest.

His job to be there in praying for the nation, and he was doing it.

But without hope.

Been a long time since I heard from the Lord and then the angel Gabriel appear Stillman says, man.

Your prayers are answered your going to have a son.

He's going to be the Forerunner to the Messiah.

God is carrying out his plan and And I'm hope.

When it seemed like there was a whole thing, angel came to give, Zachariah whole, but as we saw, the Hope really didn't mean much as I cried, cuz it was a combined with faith, but the hold was still there because I mentioned last week, even though Zechariah do believe the angel did that stuff down from working.

Now that all the Lord is always faithful to do what he says he's going to do, and because he follow through and Zechariah, had a son Zechariah, believe called him John.

And then, his tongue was loosening.

He praise the Lord.

Well, today we're continuing on there and Luke chapter 1.

So I encourage you to open your Bibles to Luke chapter 1 where to start raining in verse 26, has been a lot of time reading scripture today because it's just, it's me.

It's exciting to see how scripture all plays together here.

What are the theme for the day is Faith, but it was a combined with faith.

We're going to see today is Mary Morrissey how soon can bind with the Lord's promise of hope with faith?

So where in Luke chapter 1 through chapter 1, restarting verse 26 and can follow along in your Bibles or on the screen.

Luke chapter 1 starting verse 26.

In the six months of Elizabeth's pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth.

A town in Galilee to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David.

The Virgins name was Mary.

They need to win to where it said, greetings, you who are highly favored.

The Lord is with you.

Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondering what kind of greeting is my big butt.

Angel said you were do not be afraid.

Mary, you have found favor with God, you will conceive and give birth to a son and you were to call him Jesus.

He will be great.

And will be called the son of the most high.

The Lord.

God will give him the Throne of his father David and he will reign over Jacobs descendants forever.

His kingdom will never end.

How will this be Marius Angel?

Since I am a virgin, the angel answered, the holy spirit will come on you and the power of the most high will overshadow you.

So the Holy One to be born will be called The Son of God for no word from the Lord will ever fail.

I am the Lord's servant Mary answer.

May your word to me, be fulfilled than the angel left.

Let's go ahead and pray the Lord to work in our hearts.

Lord.

I do ask that, you would just open up her eyes to see the truth in this description, which is all too familiar, but Lord, don't let us skip over the true that are here.

Remind us today of your faithfulness.

There are Hearts to respond as married at the responded faith.

The Angels announcement.

Again, the angel Gabriel appear to Marion Nazareth and Penny had a lot to say to her actually kind of broke up the announcement into chunks in the pieces that we could actually kind of.

Look at the different parts.

The first one was you have found favor with God and it's really something where Mary is a she's a young girl and All small town again.

The town wasn't probably a few hundred people but it was a town.

It was actually overshadowed by a greater town that was actually the capital of the whole region of Galilee.

Just a couple miles off up on the hill overlooking Nazareth.

She was from the little town.

Nobody.

Who was she.

but, She found favor with God.

That made her special on.

In a couple years ago when we went through this passage, I pointed out how this expression you were highly favored, found favor with God is actually found in one of the verse in the Bible in Ephesians chapter 1 verse X worth talking about all believers.

I just as Mary was highly favored, you realize that you are highly favored, doesn't matter if you were a nobody then, who am I?

I'm from factoryville.

How about you guys?

It doesn't matter who you are where you're from.

When you're a believer in the Lord Almighty, you are highly favored.

And that makes you somebody pretty special that he was going to do special things with.

Well.

He was definitely some things are married.

She was highly favored.

He said you were going to have a son and you're going to call him Jesus.

And immediately soon.

I'm going to have a son.

I'm going to have the one that is going to use to save Israel.

She realize how special this person was going to be this baby.

But he's not just that he's going to be great in the past where your get.

If you look through a judge's, you see these people are coming to see me for a time and they save Israel and then they kind of Fade Into history.

Same as well.

He's going to be great.

He's going to have Power Authority.

He's going to be called, son of the most high God.

This is going to set him apart from every other person in history to save Israel to save his people going to be the son of the most high God.

The holy that when the Lord is going to give him the Throne of his father David Hill rain over Jacobs descendants forever.

His kingdom will never end.

Mary was a descendant of David.

Why she wasn't from the ruling line of David member, David have a lot of sons, right?

And then one of those sons became the next king.

What happened to the other Sons?

They were still descendants of David but where they ain't got in line for the throne.
