Genesis 6:22 Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he.

Noah entrusted God with the salvation of his houshould. Noah was a man of faith. A man of such great faith that he is mentioned in Hebres 11.
Hebrews 11:7 (KJV 1900)
By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.
There are several truths about the life of faith.
Truth 1: There is always promised work from God.
God will always do what he has promised. That’s the obkect of our faith to trust that God is going to do what he has said he will do.
The verse here in Hebrews says that he was warned of somthing that had never yet been seen. The flood was for sure coming and Noah is warned to prepare an arc in order to save his family.
Truth 2: There is an internal responce.
There is an outter responce as well that we will see next but first there is an inner responce. Without an inner responce of faith the outter actions are just a perfornace witch Jesus calls hypocracy in Matthew 23:27
Matthew 23:27 (KJV 1900)
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men’s bones, and of all uncleanness.
Noah’s inner responce to faith move him with fear to build the arc to save his family. The inner responce is the motivation of why we do something. Noah’s inner responce was a responce of fear, reverence, and respect of the Lord.
The fruit of his inner responce of faith is the ourward action of building the arc.
Truth 3: There is an external responce.
Noah built the arc. When he heard that God was going to send a flood to destroy every living creature Noah knew that God was going to do what he said he was going to do and Noah had no other choise but to build the arc in order to save his family.
This responce of faith is an act of obedience. Imagine the backlast and ridicule that Noah recieved. An arc in a dessert. If you show up in Arequipa, Peru with an arc saying its about to flood, everyone is going to laugh because it hardly ever rains there. Much less a time when raid was something that had never even been seen yet.
Truth 4: The life of faith is a rewarding life.
Noah and his family were safe from the flood but he is only an “heir” of the righteouness by faith. Meaning that he was still waiting the full blessing of righteosness when he died.
The life of faith is a rewarding life. When we are obedient in our faith we always recieve a small portion of that reward now but there is much more waiting for us!
