“Oh, that’s amazing, I’d love to experience that one day!” What is your answer to the “that” is this question? One of the things our culture loves to promote is new experiences. Maybe it’s the experience of new places. Travelling abroad or at home (anyone counting down to 5th February?). Perhaps it is putting your culinary skills to work and whipping up a new recipe for friends and family. Or perhaps you’re a thrill seeker and you can’t wait to jump out of a plane and try your hand at skydiving! But there is one experience that trumps all other experiences. That is, experiencing God. His goodness. His presence. His love. And living in a world full of him. As we continue our lead up to Christmas, we’re going to explore yet another well known OT prophecy from Isaiah that speaks of God’s coming King – King Jesus.
