My Pleasure “Chapter 2”
If it pleases the king, then it pleases me….
It pleases the king…. Whenever you’re found properly serving your leader, it pleases them to send you out with whatever you need to accomplish your assignment for God. Leaving right release all of the good of God’s hands upon you and your assignment. (2:8)
We must look at our leaders if they are sent by God and have received the approval of their leaders, why, the hands of God will be upon what they are doing, that’s why? There is a two-step process contrary to modern day where we just believe in doing whatever we feel like God has called us to do. You want to impact your assignment optimally. Serve your leader, and you’ll please God, The when you go on assignment you’ll have the hands of God upon all that you do!
A great leader will always send you out with provisions and protection (2:9)
“Beyond the River” was the place where the patriarchs served Yahweh. He understood that where the elders served God it was still just as good of a place to worship Him in that present day. Now what does that sound like? We get so caught up in modern day worship that we haven’t even considered to preserve the places of old, hence why your pastor believes we need to preserve some heritages of our faith.
He asked for the king to write letters to the governors to give him a pass to get through there until he got to the place of praise (Judah). I’m sure they would see him coming not looking the part, that of the patriarchs and wouldn’t even know he was sent by God to help rebuild the very place that God established passing through.
What happens when what I look like doesn’t look like what things have been, but I’ve come preserve the very thing that those that came before me once loved?
When you have had a discussion with your leader and have received the approval of your leader you don’t consult with another human being. At this point your assignment is between you and God. As we are out here building the city we must understand that God has us covered. Your pastor has already counseled with his leader, now the rest is between him and God. When you have found out your assignment with your leader and they have approved the rest is between you and God. See a pattern? (V. 12) tell no one!!!! Shut your trap to everyone else they aren’t qualified to help counsel you. Approval/provision/protection from your leader, the blessings of God.
Some of us aren’t parting enough attention to see what to do because we aren’t looking at our leaders we are too busy free-styling with our gifts, talents, and abilities.
When you do the work of the Lord, His Good Hands is on you FOR GOOD! (V.18)
Your work is good because of His good hand upon you.
Expect to be mocked by those you’re building around (2:20)
Fountain Gate: Place of Refreshing the place where people can get cleaned up and restored.
Dung Gate: The Place of Deliverance the place where you can dump your waste and never worry about it coming back.
Valley Gate: The place of grace for the lowly and downtrodden.
Sheep Gate: it the place where
