Let’s Go: “There is Life after Death!”

Mark 12:18-27

January 2, 2022

I. They were in denial. (vs 18-23)

II. They were uninformed. (vs 24)

“You do not know the Scriptures.”

3 Reasons why a person may not know the Scriptures:

1. He has not really studied the Scriptures.

2. He does not believe the Scriptures.

3. He does not take the Scriptures literally for what they say.

“You do not know the power of God.”

3 Reasons why a person does not know the power of God:

1. He is ignorant of God.

2. He does not believe in God nor in His power.

3. He believes, but his belief in God and His power is weak.

III. They walked away from reality. (vs 25-27)

I Corinthians 15:42-44

Two “take aways”

1. God is the God of the believers who have passed before us.

2. God is the God of the living.
