What we need is not more crowds, but more disciples, not people with more knowledge, but with more obedience.

NONE NEED PERISH

2 Peter 3:9

God has ordained that there should be a massive harvest of souls that the Church must reach.

1. A Sacrifice Was Made Available:

a. From the foundation of the world, the Son of God was determined to redeem humanity. That precious Blood that flowed from Calvary is the ONLY way we can approach the Throne of Grace and obtain mercy. He came, died, and rose again that they might be saved from every nation, every race of people, every tribe, and every language. NONE NEED PERISH!

2. God’s Will Was Made Known:

a. Here’s a secret about God’s will for every life. He told us what it is in the Bible. All we have to do it obey it. And teach others to obey it. (Matthew 18:10-14) It’s not His will that ANY perish, but that ALL are saved. So, finding the will of God is the easy part. Doing it? Not so much!

b. The very way we live and conduct ourselves, our speech, our posture, our attitude in relation to the world should help promote the Gospel – the power of God unto salvation. Part of the problem is that we have delegated the Great Commission to others.

3. Salvation Was Made Easy:

a. Getting saved is easy. Going to Heaven is easy. God made it easy on purpose. He wants everybody saved. He wants everybody to go to Heaven. (Romans 10:9-10) Salvation is for anyone and everyone and is as easy as opening your mouth and your heart and believing, “Jesus died for me and I receive Him as my Lord and Savior!” It’s easy to go to heaven. It’s hard to go to hell. Proverbs 13:15, “the way of the transgressor is hard.”

b. It’s also easy to get folks saved! It’s not hard to get someone born again. That is if we truly believe what the Word of God says. If we’ll just get after the assignment that’s ours and start obeying God, we’re going to start winning people into the Kingdom of God coming and going, left and right, day in and day out. You’re never more in the will of God then when you’re telling a lost person about Jesus!

4. Soul Winning & Discipleship Was Made Priority:

a. You yourself must have a personal outreach to others so that throughout the year you yourself are filled with joy over having personally led someone to Jesus. There’s no such thing as a grumpy soul-winner.

b. BUT, once we reach them and cause them to receive Jesus, then we must disciple them. So, you want them in church and small groups with you. You want to spend time with them and help them learn about God. Discipleship doesn’t happen on Sunday mornings. It happens in relationships! We must recognize people have to be discipled and that takes time and investment in the lives of others. (Matthew 28:19-20)
