What does it mean to be divine?

Divine
++Of or from God
Divine
++That which suggest the nature of, or is associated with or derive from God; connotes supreme greatness;belonging to or coming from God; Almighty, Author, Creator, Supreme Being.
2 Corinthians 5:16–17 NKJV
16 Therefore, from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him thus no longer. 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

The Divine Jesus is Known Over Time

What change his view of Jesus?

The Divine Jesus will not stay hidden

Deuteronomy 4:29 (NKJV)
29 But from there you will seek the Lord your God, and you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul.
If we seek him
++We will find Him
++With all our heart and soul

What if we don’t Seek Him?

Paul (Formally Saul)
++Started as and enemy of Christ
++Persecuted The Church
++Consented to the Stoning of Stephen

The Divine Jesus is on Assignment

John 1:10–11 NKJV
10 He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. 11 He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him.

Jesus came to us before we came to Him

2 Corinthians 5:18–19 NKJV
18 Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, 19 that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.
It is God’s Gift
++A new relationship
++A new life
++For God’s purpose

The Divine Jesus Is all that God is

God was in Christ
++Reconciling the world
++Bringing them to Him
Hebrews 2:6–8 NKJV
6 But one testified in a certain place, saying: “What is man that You are mindful of him, Or the son of man that You take care of him? 7 You have made him a little lower than the angels; You have crowned him with glory and honor, And set him over the works of Your hands. 8 You have put all things in subjection under his feet.” For in that He put all in subjection under him, He left nothing that is not put under him. But now we do not yet see all things put under him.
Humanity is
++Limited
++Lower than the angels
++Crowned
++Given Authority over the works of His hands
++Over all things

But we don’t see it.

We are still
++Overwhelmed by life
++In fear of the future
++Live under the circumstances

The Divine Jesus Brings Hope

Hebrews 2:9 NKJV
9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, for the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that He, by the grace of God, might taste death for everyone.
