The title of our series is called :
“Be Transformed by the Renewing of the Mind”
The title of our message this morning is:
A New Mind for a New Time!
Romans 12:2 (NKJV)
2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
I. Do Not be Conformed to this
World
this world, or this age Refers to the present evil age,
(It’s not the age of Aquarius) )
It’s the time prior to Christ’s return.

Satan wants you to buy into this world's way of thinking, that leads you away from God to eternal damnation
Resist conformity to the thoughts and actions of this world (do not be conformed)
What is so important in this world that has caused you to lose sight of the Lord Jesus Christ?
Is it money?
Home, Your career?
Is it a woman, a man, or the lust of the flesh?
you’re trying to please?
Satan wants you to conform to his world, which is opposite of God’s plan for your life.
Remember Satan knows that he has only a little time left on this earth.
and his job is to take as many people as he can to hell with him
Don’t be fooled by the bright lights and the promises of this world.
This is not your home you have been bought with the blood of Jesus Christ
By focusing on God’s word, and fellowship with Him
II.
Be Transformed by the Renewing
of Your Mind.
Be Transformed means: To change in form, appearance, or structure; metamorphosis - to change in condition, nature, or character, convert.
renewal of your mind Refers to mental conformity to the truth of God.
This renewal results in a transformation in the life of the believer.
The Greek word used here, logikos, can mean “spiritual,” suggesting worship that involves the heart and mind in contrast to physical offerings and sacrifices.
Alternatively, logikos could be translated as “reasonable” or “proper,” indicating worship that reflects a correct understanding of the gospel message and a rational response to it.
It also might mean “true,” implying that worship is appropriate for those with a renewed mind (Rom 12:2).
Pepper sometimes will have a song in her heart that causes her to start singing around the house.
She's doing this because of her understanding of the gospel message and because she has a renewed mind.

Prove What is That Good and
Acceptable and perfect will of
God.
What is true dedication?
As Paul described it here, Christian dedication involves three steps.
1.
You give God your body (v.1) -
Before we trusted Christ, we used our body for sinful pleasures and purposes, but now that we belong to Him, we want to use our body for His glory.
The Christian’s body is God’s temple (1 Cor.
6:19–20)
because the Spirit of God dwells within him (Rom.
8:9).
It is our privilege to glorify Christ in our body and magnify Christ in our body (Phil.
1:20–21).
Just as Jesus Christ had to take on Himself a body in order to accomplish God’s will on earth, so we must yield our bodies to Christ that He might continue God’s work through us.
We must yield the members of the body as “instruments of righteousness” (Rom.
6:13) for the Holy Spirit to use in the doing of God’s work.
The Old Testament sacrifices were dead sacrifices, but we are to be living sacrifices.
There are two “living sacrifices” in the Bible and they help us understand what this really means.
