That God can bring life into dead areas of our own lives and that God can bring Revival.
Who would love a Revival to happen in your own life.
On this campus, in this world.
We are in desperate need of a Revival.
And as we think about what's happening around the world.
We are reminded that during times of Darkness.
That's where God's light shines, the brightest name in.
And so, we want to welcome you.
He want to remind you that there is Ministry Expo, right off The Vespers.
And that's a great opportunity for you to be part of ministry, here on campus to serve, and to use your gifts, and talents, and calling in a powerful way to be a blessing to the community and others around you as well.
Also, some of you may have been part of the 10 days of prayer that have been happening here at the University Church.
And over the last 10 days and tonight is the final night of those 10 days of prayer, the church and I'll office in Ministry of missions.
Felt like it was important to start out and this semester with Prairie men that we need God's presence more than ever before.
So we kind of concluding these last 10 days of prayer as we launch our first Vespas tonight.
And as we begin, now time to get, I invite you to have a word with me in prayer.
Once again, let's bow our heads together, father.
God.
We thank you for a brand new year and even though the seasons change even though the times change, your love never changes.
It is the same yesterday today and forever.
So lord.
It's with that insurance.
It's with that confidence is its with knowing that you can not love us any more than you love us.
Right now.
We come to you humbly in.
A ship with your spirit.
Help us.
See you more.
Clearly.
May we be reminded that you not only love us, but you have given us the power to Rise Up from a situation.
We thank you for your grace and Lord.
Nothing to the cross.

As we start out time together, I'm going to start riding to Albert's here in the gospel of Mark returning to Mark chapter 10, and we going to be reading from 46 to 48 to Mark, 10:46 248.
And this is what the Bible says.
Now they came to Jericho as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great multitude.
Jesus is walking and he's going to Jericho on his way to Jerusalem, rather.
He's leaving right now.
He's just arrived to Jericho when he's leaving, but there's a great multitude there, but there's a blind man, blind man.

Set by the road begging and when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth.
I don't know what you've been hearing.
But I pray that you hear that.
Jesus of Nazareth is close by tonight that when he heard it was Jesus of Nazareth.
He began to cry out and say Jesus Son of David have mercy on me.
Then many want him to be quiet.
Be quiet, buddy did the opposite?
He cried out all the more son of David have mercy on me.
So, Jesus, Stood, Still.
I wonder what your praise can do for Jesus tonight where your praise could, cause Jesus to stand still.
I wonder what kind of Praise this man had to cause Jesus to stop in his tracks and stand still and commanded him to be cold.
They call the blind man.

Be of good cheer, rise.
He is calling you.

He is calling you Southern family.

Can you turn to your neighbor just in right now and say be of good cheer?

It's the new year be of good cheer.
God's going to do something here, be of good cheer.

My title tonight of my message is simply this.
He's calling you his calling you.
I pray that you will hear God's voice tonight knowing that he is calling you.
He's here as we set the scene for the context of Mark.
We realize that Jesus as you read through the gospel of Mark.
Jesus is now entering the sipping.
The second phase in the gospel of Mark, from chapter around 8, in the gospel of Mark.
Jesus is now entering the second phase of his time of suffering.
In fact, as we get to chapter 10, he's on his way to Jerusalem.
And that's the journey that will lead to his death.
In fact, in chapter 11.
That's where Jesus spent his final week in Jerusalem.
He's about to be rejected, not by people who are Aries enemies.
He's going to be rejected by his friends.
I don't know if any of you have ever experienced rejection before but it's one thing to be rejected by an enemy.
It's another thing to be rejected by your friends.
The people that are meant to have your back, the people that I meant to encourage you and be there for you.
He's going to be rejected by those of his own.
And he's on this road, this road of rejection.
And while he is on this road.
He meets another man.
That is also being rejected.
Isn't it interesting that God could be on your street?
And you didn't even know it.
That God could be on your street of disappointment that God could be on your street of high on the other Street of heartbreak.
God could be on your street of rejection.
God could be on your street of disappointment.
I want you tonight that God never know that God is on your street.
God is on your street, but you may not even realize it, he's walking down that street and he's on the street of rejection about to meet a man of rejection and sometimes.
God will put and it say that God will allow God will allow you to have fake friends.
So you know who your real friends are.
