Why Does God Allow Us to Endure Trials?
Trials purify our faith.
Trials demonstrate the genuineness of our faith.
How do We Rejoice in the Midst of Trials?
Remember that our faith is more precious than anything else.
Why is Faith so Precious?
Lack of Faith:
Sin and death - Adam and Eve
Loss of God’s Blessings - Israelites and the promised land
Defeat instead of victory - Israelites and the battle of Ai - Joshua 7
Lostness - Ephesians 2:8-9
Faith Brings:
Hebrews 11:6-31 “And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.
By faith Noah, being warned by God concerning events as yet unseen, in reverent fear constructed an ark for the saving of his household.
By this he condemned the world and became an heir of the righteousness that comes by faith.
By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to a place that he was to receive as an inheritance.
And he went out, not knowing where he was going.
By faith he went to live in the land of promise, as in a foreign land, living in tents with Isaac and Jacob, heirs with him of the same promise.
For he was looking forward to the city that has foundations, whose designer and builder is God.
By faith Sarah herself received power to conceive, even when she was past the age, since she considered him faithful who had promised.
Therefore from one man, and him as good as dead, were born descendants as many as the s…”

The Blessedness of our Faith
We have not seen Him, but we love Him.
We do not see Him, yet we believe.
John 20:24-29 “Now Thomas, one of the twelve, called the Twin, was not with them when Jesus came.
So the other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord.”
But he said to them, “Unless I see in his hands the mark of the nails, and place my finger into the mark of the nails, and place my hand into his side, I will never believe.”
Eight days later, his disciples were inside again, and Thomas was with them.
Although the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you.”
Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here, and see my hands; and put out your hand, and place it in my side.
Do not disbelieve, but believe.”
Thomas answered him, “My Lord and my God!” Jesus said to him, “Have you believed because you have seen me?
Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.””
