Introduction

The first birthmark I want us to notice is that a Christian does not continue to practice sin. (vs 7-10)
He can not sin and enjoy it.
Jesus said My sheep hear My voice.
The second birthmark we notice is that He Loves (v 14)
Notice, He loves His brother
The Bible says that we are to love each other. This builds up the body of Christ.
Another birthmark is that we have an uncondemned heart.
The Bible points out that the world is under the condemnation of God (John 3:17)
When we place our faith in Christ we are no longer under the judgment of God.
Another birthmark is that we have the privilege of prayer (v. 22)
Jesus said ask in my name.
The last birthmark taht we will notice is that a Christian possesses the spirit of God. (v 24)
This is the evidence that we belong to Him.
The Holy Spirit guides us to be like Jesus.
